A) Importance of identifying the biopsychosocial factors that impact well being of client during
mental health assessment?
The biopsychosocial factors are those which have a direct influence over the health of an
individual by developing the illness through a complex interaction with psychological, biological
and social factors. These are responsible for creating a environment in which we live which in
turn directly influence the mental health of an individual (Barry and et. al., 2018). Hence the
environment in which an individual lives has a huge influence over the heath of a patient as it
involve the factor such as social which involve the relation of person with its family, friend or in
community. The failure in maintain this relationship affects the mental health of patient. Other
than this the biological factor such as genetic health issues also influence the wellbeing of
person. Psychological factors such as relationship with other, past experiences and way of living
also affect the wellbeing of a person. In current scenario of Tina is experiencing a nightmare and
period of disassociation which have a huge influence at her mental health which can be seen
from her behaviour of not to getting involve with other people, being rude to other patients and
don’t letting nurses to enter her room. These are the impact of biopsychosocial factor which is
affecting her day to day life and of course mental health.
It is essential to consider the biopsychosocial factors while conducting the assessment
process. This is so because it helps in determining the actual cause behind a particular health
disorder found within the patient. In case of Tina, she went through so many of the interpersonal
trauma which changes her life totally (Blank and 2019). As she experiences a trauma of death of
her parents, found under cared by grandparents, got habitual of drinking at vey young age etc.
these all change her personality. So, it become very crucial for medical staff to get knowledge
about all these issues while diagnosing the mental condition of Tina. This will support them in
creating a better treatment plan for her by resolving all past issue or helping her to recover from
them.
B) Three factors that impact on presenting problem of client and determine its importance in
development of client’s presenting problem.
In current scenario of Tina, she went through a range of issues in her past which have a
huge impact over her mental health. Tina is facing a issue of ongoing nightmare which is not
letting them to normalise her mental condition (Dollard, Dormann, Tuckey and Escartín, 2017).
As with these nightmares she finds it difficult to sleep which make her ruder to other people, got
