Racism not only affects the mental health of the individual but in a great way affects the physical health also. The racism discrimination influences the changes in the physical health through the changes in the functioning of the stress physiology. Racism not only dangers the legal rights of the individuals, that guaranteed equal protection under the law. On the other hand, it also dangers the health of the individuals. Racism thus concludes the risk of the physical and the emotional issues with the increased risk of the depression, hypertension, cardiovascular disease, breast cancer, common cold, and mortality. Racism discrimination influences the physiology of the offspring and the maternal among theethnically and the socio-economically ways. Racism experienced among the women’s duringthe pregnancy gives birth to the children with the lower birth weight. Answer No 2:Good health is a significant asset for the individuals, but the presence of the racism in heath care makes it difficult for the individuals to take care of their health. The groups with the minority are being deprived of the quality health care and also their human rights e violated in the health care system. It is observed that the people who belong to the minority face strong negative attitudes during the process of the health care and such feelings of the discrimination negatively affect the health of the individuals during the health care. Such negative feelings among the individuals lead a decrease in the adherence of the medication and the follow of the medical treatment. The institutional racism in the health care results intothe ethnic and the racial minorities, which results into the misappropriate barriers and results into the decrease in the quality of the care. The racial biasness in the health care continues to affect the health of the individuals belonging to the lower race. The biasness in the medicine also in a great way affects the health care system for the lower race individuals. Racial bias inhealth care as well manipulates the method of doctors communicating with their patients of black colour.Answer no 3:For changing the institutionalized discrimination, the government and the individuals have to develop certain plans which include the minorities in the planning with changes in the judicial system. Providing employment under the Fair employment Act, where the individuals will be fairly paid and will not be discriminated on the basis of their race. Equal oppurtunities are also provided in the field of the education where the segregation is to be ended and the black people are provided with the equal opportunities of education along with the other individuals. Many other steps related to the health and the health care system is also taken where the racism will not adhere and the individuals will be given the equal treatment as the other individuals are provided. Certain other efforts and the implementation of the Act by the government will help in the eradication of the racism from the society and providing the equal rights to each and every individual in the society.
