INTRODUCTIONThe mental health refers to well being of an individual in terms of cognitive, behaviour,and emotional aspects of human being. It includes several factors associated with psychologicalstatus of a person which require to be stable for remaining mentally normal (Marsella & White,2012). There are various kinds of relevant disorders which are observed in people such asphobias, major depression, post traumatic disorder etc. This report is based on case of Janinehaving long history of mental illness and taking care from a local community mental healthcentre from past six years. Present assignment will focus on developing therapeutic relationship,nursing care consistent along with interventions for welfare of patient. It is necessary for medicalprofessionals to determine real signs by thoroughly examine behaviour or expressions of anindividual. This includes several early symptoms such as – ◦Withdrawing from people or activities they would normally enjoy.◦Sleeping or eating too much or too little.◦Feeling as if nothing matters.◦Consistently low energy.◦Using drugs more than normal (including alcohol and nicotine).◦Displaying uncharacteristic emotions (Morgan & Goldston, 2013).◦Confusion.◦Not being able to complete standard tasks, such as getting to work or cooking ameal.◦Persistent thoughts or memories that reappear regularly.◦Thinking of harming one's self or others.◦Hearing voices.◦Delusions.1
