INTRODUCTION
Graduate Challenge refers to a program which is organised by various educational institutions
like schools, colleges and universities for the better enhancement of skills in regards to
participation, teamwork, communication, motivation and others. I developed my interest in extra
curricular activities by taking the challenge. This enhanced my social and cultural skills as well.
The various challenges gave me a floor to express my talent and polish it. These were the
challenges that helped me to evaluate how business works and the compliances are worked out. I
got an idea what issues business persons and entrepreneurs face in bringing out any product or
service from initial stage to the final stage.

TASK
T-shirt Challenge
It was challenge in which I was suppose to develop a creative and innovative design of a
t-shirt and its logo taking in mind that it will be advertised and promoted in the marketplace.
Firstly I ascertain the target of customers and for marketing of t-shirt among the target
consumers, I analysed and examine the current market situations and trends. While designing I
considered the choices and preferences of target customers to attain their attention and interest
toward my offering. A pre-determined budget was allotted to me and and it was a task for me to
provide a proper projection of the same in our operations. I and my team have completed the
challenge effectively and efficiently(Fotiadou. 2020). Through this challenge I enhanced my
communication skills which helped me to enhance my team building skills. This challenge also
develop my business skills and taught me to create demand for any product or service in the
market place and to carry business operations in a limited budget which will help in future to
start a new business.
Presentation Challenge
I was given a challenge to present an informative and effective presentation to be
presented in front of my fellows which requires a lot of hard work and team work. In order to
prepare a presentation I need a effective communication to take thoughts, ideas and opinions of
everyone and eliminate the chances of misunderstanding and conflicts of thoughts. This
challenge taught me to explain my points in front of everyone and enhance my knowledge of
power point presentations. This challenge also helps me to overcome my fear of speaking in
front of people and develop a confidence in my voice(Fried and et. al. 2020). It also enhance my
interaction capabilities, speaking skills as well as listening skills.
Hotel Challenge
Hotel challenge was all about delivering an organisational services to encourage and
enhance customer experience. This challenge has all its focus on customer experience and I was
suppose to learn more about the best way of providing services in hotel organisations in order to
enhance customer's experience. This challenge also helped me in gain knowledge of ascertaining
wants , needs and preferences and provide services accordingly. This challenge made me realise
that it is not an easy job to please the customers as it needs a lot of efforts and time to persuade

the consumers to invest in offers of an hotel organisation(Kaomea. 2020). This challenge also
helps me enhance my communication skills and taught me to talk in a polite tone which later will
help me to please everyone.
Debate Challenge
Debate challenge is a challenge develop by university to know the thought of various
students on a ascertained topic. The debate challenge helped me in presenting my thought in
front of everyone on a certain topic. During the debate challenge I overcome my fear of putting
my own thought in a effective manner that everyone understands it. This challenge helps me to
enhance my listening capacity. As this debate challenge is a team challenge and helps me build a
team which were in favour of me. This challenge also helps to deal with the conflict situations in
a polite manner.
SKILLS
Communication Skills
Communication is regarded as the outstanding life skill that is majorly required by
individuals to adapt so that it aids in sending and acquiring content without any faults and
misinterpretations. At the times of actual performing the assigned challenges and tasks, I was
enlightened with facts how every business organisations work in context to managing and
operating with their skills of communication. I even learnt how an authorized person with his
communication skills can lead the work and make his subordinates achieve the targets.
Teamwork Skills
Under this graduate challenge I was facilitated with how can team work and team spirit
enhance the group projects or working of any process. I was able to inculcate these skills as a
part of my daily routine which improved my ability to interact and work with others(Araújo and
et. al. 2020). To accomplish a target where support and participation is required, a person with
team spirit can only sustain. Practising these skills intensified my coordinating skills with my
team mates while working on the challenges like debate challenge, presentation challenge and so
on. I even learnt the importance of working for a common goal.
Time Management skills
As the assignment and tasks provided has to be completed within a predetermined time, I
learn to manage my activities in a determined time phrase. This challenge helps me a lot in to

learn how to manage time for different activities during a assessment. It helps me in
understanding the value of every minute. I know that time is precious but this project helps me to
understand the real meaning of this phase. I used concept of time management in my T-shirt
challenge as I have to complete the task in a limited time(Nwaomah. 2020). I also use this
concept during presentation challenge as I got a limited time to present myself in effective
manner.
Business Skills
These challenges helps me to develop my skills and helps me to gain experience and
knowledge of environment of market. Among the challenges I faced, T-shirt challenge as well as
hotel challenge needs to examine and analyse the needs of the market and consumers. Both
challenges focus to consider the needs, wants and preferences of the consumers which further
helps in growth of any business. Hence, these challenges taught me to have focus on customer
experience. As I have a predetermined budget for my T-shirt challenge I also learn how to
negotiate, which will help me in business to incur less cost and attain more profits(Vakkai and et.
al. 2020). Also during my presentation challenge as well as T-shirt challenge I also get a good
command on Excel and Power-point. All these skills are related to business and I am feeling
blessed that I got a chance to have command over this with the help of these challenges.

CONCLUSION
All in all, I found out how an idea initiates from its incubation stage to final stage(Aizenberg and
et. al. 2020). It made me prepared for the upcoming future uncertainties which I might face in
coming time and drilled me to get better off with that with patience and effectiveness. I
employed my skills which helped me to grow and evolve for the unseen hurdles. Challenges like
Debate challenge, Presentation challenge assisted me to improvise my innovation. While
preparing for the future plans, these side by side helped me to intensify the current skills as well.
My self confidence boosted and I feel this will help me in long run.
