Introduction The current assignment is based on contextualise employability for graduates that is focused on demonstrating an awareness of the key knowledge, skills and experience which are required by a recent graduate to chosen a better area of graduate employment (Ruf, 2020). The professional area of graduate employment that is selected by me as based on marketing profession as it has been see that marketing profession are providing and leading many job and professional growth opportunity for an newly graduadte person. Aim of current career research report The main aim which is set out by me for current research report is, “To evaluate about the General and latest trends in marketing profession along with analysis of key skill, knowledge and experiencerequiredinmarketingprofessionwhichleadsignificantimpactongraduate recruitment.” Research objective To review about theGeneral and latest trends seen in marketing profession which lead significant impact on graduate recruitment. To determine about key skill, knowledge and experience which are expected from graduate applicants to get recruitment and better employability in marketing profession. Analysis and Application This section of current research report comprises of an analysis and application of various form of significant data collected for meeting the aim of current project (Spanjaard, Hall and Stegemann, 2018). A discussion about research method and approaches used to perform current investigation to achieve desired objective is provided as below: Research method For current report implication as use of interpretivism research philosophies is suitable as it provided a set of principles and theories which support more systematic and theoretical form of research to achieve current aim. Further, utilisation of deductive form of approach is also justifiable as it lead to creation of a new theories based on theoretical facts and data to lead better analysis and application of collected data (Jiang, 2017). Apart from this, use of qualitative form of research method and design is made as it leads and ensure collection of in-depth and theoretical set of information that provides better analysis of set behaviour and attitude of 1
participants to draw a more specific and better conclusion. Apart from this, collection of data would be made from both primary and secondary sources of information as primary source leads to a more authentic and attest form of information directly from the participants where as secondary information is important to lead a base for research and ensures analysis of past fact and data to lead support and better analysis of set aim and objectives (Barnay, 2016). Secondary Research Leading out of secondary research comprises of use of systematic literature review to analysis and evaluate the existing information to develop better understanding and knowledge about the set aim and objective (Bozionelos, Lin and Lee, 2020). Current literature review and collection of secondary information is based on online articles and journals which are related with the employability for graduates in marketing profession, a discussion and analysis of which is provided below: To review about the General and latest trends seen in marketing profession which lead significant impact on graduate recruitment. As per the view pointAllie Decker. 2020, marketing profession and area is moving and changing with the speed of light and get more dynamic and innovative with advancement in technology. The general trend seen in marketing profession comprises of various activities and process involved in creating, communicating and delivering all required information and data with the customer related with the exchange of offering and products. Thus, the mere activity and main process of marketing profession comprises of setting effective promotional and adverting strategies for attracting and catering larger number of customers, clients and partners for a business to enhance its profitability and success level. The latest trends seen in the marketing profession due to enhanced level of globalisation and improvident in technology to ensure promotion and communication at global level which are leading significant impact on current recruitment of graduate in marketing profession comprises of enhanced information and knowledge about digital marketing (Arulmani, 2016). The key skills and knowledge required to remain successful and competent in marketing profession comprises of creativity, leadership abilities, communication skills, perseverance and motivation and other analytical skills. Further, relevant experience of working in team along with commercial awareness is also needed to set coordination in action and form strategies to set balance between current market trends and business objective. Apart from this, a knowledge about latest IT trends and digital skills are also becoming vital and important along with expertise in Business and Entrepreneurship to have better critical thinking and decision making ability which is expected and needed in a graduate applicants to get recruitment and better employability in marketing profession (Jiang, 2017). Primary Research The primary research undertaken for current report is based on qualitative research method where data has been collected with the help of interview. A sample size of 4 participants had been selected to ask interview question with the help of random sampling from the employees of Vodafone with the help of below stated questionnaire that is mailed to selected participants to get thee view point on the employability for graduates in marketing profession. Interview questions (Questionnaire) Q1) As per your view point, why marketing profession is best suitable and appropriate as area of the employability for graduates? Q2) What are the latest trends seen in marketing profession which lead significant impact on graduate recruitment? Q3) Which are the key skill, knowledge and experience that is required in a graduate to get recruitment and better employability in marketing profession? Analysis of primary information Theme 1: Marketing profession is best suitable and appropriate as area of the employability for graduates 3
Interpretation It has been analysed that maximum number of participants were having a view point that marketing profession is best suitable and appropriate as area of the employability for graduates as it provided a best and most favourable job outlook for a graduate along with high salary and more growth opportunity and success level. Theme 2: Latest trends seen in marketing profession Interpretation It has been evaluated that major section of participants were having a view that digital marketing trends which comprises of better use and application of social media and other form of content marketing are evaluated and developed as latest trend that are seen in marketing profession with the improvement in technology and global presence of customers which lead significant impact on graduate recruitment in marketing profession. Theme 3: Key skill, knowledge and experience that are required in a graduate to get recruitment and better employability in marketing profession Interpretation It has been evaluated as per the opinion of larger number of participants that communication, leadership, critical thinking, creativity along with other analytical and interpersonal skills are required in a graduate to get recruitment and better employability in marketing profession. Further,knowledgeandexpertiseinthesectorofITandcommercialawarenessand entrepreneurship is also required to have better employability scope in marketing profession. Thus, an analysis and application can be made in the basis of above primary and secondary research that a detailed information and knowledge about digital and social media marketing are vital to get recruitment in marketing profession. Further, leadership, communication, decision making skills, creativity and analytical skills are important along with knowledge and expertise in field of IT and business entrepreneurship is required to get better employability in marketing profession. 4
Evaluation The appropriate vacancy that is selected by me as per my personal interest which meet my potential choice of graduate employability is for the position of Marketing manager in the Vodafone company (Marketing Manager, 2020). This job vacancy is more preferable for me as compared to other vacant position as it is related with marketing profession and delivering a significant opportunity for me to get a job position that meets my personal interest an also support my professional development in future. Further, the job location which is situated in The Speechmark London is also suitable and preferable for me along with excellent remuneration and bonus package. Apart from this, a significant level of experience and awareness about the marketing profession is also ensured by selected vacant position in Vodafone which would also enhance my communication skills and practical knowledge about the application of digital marketing trend to cater and attract larger number of customers for Vodafone company along with placing a Strong stakeholder management skills which support better professional growth and opportunity for me in future.
