Planning and delivering micro teaching session
plan
Kolb’s experiential learning cycle theory: Before delivering and developing teach
session plan, I want to know all about myself and the topic that I am going to teach.
Concrete experience: In regard to leadership, I can say that I have great knowledge
about this as I was allotted this topic for preparing project at the time of graduation. But
preparation of project and teaching is 2 different tasks. For developing teach session
plan, I need to research and develop about leadership.

Rationale of using teaching methods
On the basis of above discussed plan, I can say that I have used differentiated teaching strategy
including: visual, auditory, written and kinaesthetic.
The reason of using this strategy is to increase knowledge of all learners and allow them to select the
best strategy and learning accordingly.
As we all know that learners have different style of learning as some prefer learning with visual
representation. So, for satisfying learning needs of all, this differentiated teaching style or strategy
have used.
By making use of VARK learning model, I made use of differentiated teaching strategy and this
strategy helped me out in increasing knowledge of learners. It made me allow in understanding
different learning needs and behaviour of students.

Along with this, my main focus was on the main content of topic. Many teachers go out of the
topic and course and students at initial level needs to understand about the topic.
For increasing knowledge of learners regarding leadership, I gave real based examples of leaders.
For engaging them in this topic, I told them success story of business leaders.
It helped learners in knowing skills and main thing that are required for becoming a successful
leader. Learners also came to know that we all need to be a leader in our professional as well as
personal life. It encourages us and boost our confidence.

Reflective account and evaluation following
lesson
With the help of Kolb’s reflective model, I want to share my experience of teaching
and development of lesson plan.
Concrete experience: On the basis of experience of teaching plan session, I can
say that I am good in communication skill.
After delivering plan, I came to know that my influencing power and way of
interacting with others is good and this skill helped me out in delivering successful
teaching plan. I observed during teaching plan delivery that students have different
style of learning and it encouraged to me to use differentiated teaching strategy.

Abstract conceptualisation: In this stage, as per the Kolb’s model, I want to reflect on those
areas in which I did differently as well as ways by which I can improve more.
On the basis of teach session plan, I can say that I selected resources by linking it with VARK
learning model.
I evaluated each learning style and accordingly, I selected resources and this way of selecting
resources made me able in following all learning or teaching style.
Selection of learning check for each activity was difficult task and I took help of my colleagues.
They told me number of methods of learning checks and after that I came to know ways of
selecting learning check as per the activity and topic.
