Functioning Purpose of Mission Australia
Mission Australia harbours a belief that all person within Australia should be able to
have access to the facility of secure housing. Mission Australia wants that the people of
Australia should be able to maintain good health and people should feel themselves to be an
important part of this community (Missionaustralia.com.au., 2018). In order to serve this
purpose, Mission Australia provides respected along with innovative Community Housing
that can help in alleviating the pain of many homeless people residing within Australia. Drug
along with alcohol addiction is a great social issue that faces the young Australians. Mission
Australia wants to offer support to these people and they have a holistic approach towards
solving these problems.
The people of Mission Australia work in all the arenas pertaining to personal
development and they help people in leading a healthy life without any kind of alcohol or
drug use. It has been found that around 1 of every five Australians experiences issues related
to mental health. There are 4 million Australian who have disability and Mission Australia
extends its generous hand for serving these people. Mission Australia is devoted to its role as
that of an NDIS partner and the organization delivers Early Childhood Early Intervention for
people suffering from mental illness along with psychosocial disability (Gordon, 2016).

main aim of the Early Learning Services of Mission Australia is to provide kids with the

service called Going Places- Street to Home in Cairns has worked with the client group and

regarding whether mobile nursing care had been able to bring about improvements in in the
health of the people. Michael Project of Mission Australia was aimed at helping the homeless

that improvements have been brought about in the quality of the lives of the Australian
people. The social along with economic programmes of Mission Australia reported that they
did not feel isolated as a result of which there was three times higher chances of them getting
employed. The results revealed that reducing the factor of homelessness can help in saving
money. Cost benefit analysis revealed the fact that there were lower chances of these people
accessing public funded health along with justice service (Bradley & Griffin, 2015).
Resources and Funding of Mission Australia

helps in providing information and it can help in providing support to the community.

2016).This program is funded with the help of Department of Social Services. There is
another program called Partners in Recovery that is funded with the help of Federal
Department of Health. The Dick & Pip Foundation helps the Australians in facing the issue of
homelessness. Mission Australia works together with Dick & Pip Foundation for exhibiting
generosity in standing together with the Australians. Dempsey Family works with Mission
Australia in supporting programs related to family homelessness. Mission Australia is
instrumental in running Indigenous Employment Program that is funded with the help of the
Australian government along with the help of local partnerships. It helps in ensuring that
Aboriginal and the Torres Strait islander Australians are offered help so that they can get
