Introduction
Project management is an essential part of the organization that helps the developers for
controlling and managing the performance of developed projects. The term PMBOK is defined
as project management body of knowledge which is a set of values and solution regarding
project organization [1]. The goal of this research report is to elaborate a journal paper based on
project management and evaluate the key findings of the paper for understanding the aspects of
project management. The title of the selected paper is “Methodologies of project management”
that was written by Wojciech Macek in the year 2010. The intention of this paper is to gain skills
and experience in the area of PM and the writers critically reviewed the various practices used in
PM. The identification of the paper focused on the key features of project management which
will be reviewed in this report. The major outline of this research report contains various
sections, for example, the meaning of paper, methods, findings, issues evaluated in the paper and
results.
Content of the paper
The selected article is totally established on the software engineering methodology in which the
authors explained various methodologies used in the project management. This research paper
shows the compression between the three most reliable project management standards [6].
According to the author, the PMBOK is a set of accepted processes applied in the area of project
management. In the USA, it has been approved by American national standard community as
national standards of PM. However, the PRINCE2 is a part of the PMBOK which mainly
involves the method of project management based on the skills and knowledge in the project
managers. In this paper, the authors critically reviewed the key features of project management
[2]. As stated by the author every project has its defined beginning and end and there are major 5
basic groups of the process used by PMBOK. These groups are described below:
Process of beginning
Process of planning
Realization processes

The author also argued that PRINCE2 is a reliable section of the PMBOK which has the ability
to define and measure the business products in an effective manner. Moreover, such kind of
approach involves the processes used by the management team while developing and
implementing the projects [3]. It is analyzed that the guidelines provided in the standard ISO
10006 are addressed to many consumers and they are applied on both small and large projects in
the business industries. According to the writer, there are major two kinds of application aspects
involved in the era of PM, for example, enterprise items and enterprise processes [4]. In this
research paper, the author also explained the project range management and risks or issues linked
with project management. It is observed that in the case of project administration the risk process
is an essential part that helps the project managers for reducing the problems and risks occurred
in the projects. Mainly, the issue of risk occurs in the various kinds of areas and sectors such as
time management, provision management, cost management integrality management and so on
[5]. Therefore, in this paper, the authors described the key factors and risk management
processes associated with project management.
Research methods
There are various kinds of research methods used by the author in the selected paper, for
example, qualitative and quantitative design, data collection methods, inductive research
approach and content analysis technique.
Research design
The writer accepted a mixed research design while leading the investigation because it is a very
effective process that focuses on both theoretical and numerical data about the research title. It is
observed that the mixed technique contained both subjective and quantitative methods where
qualitative allowed only theoretic info but measurable emphasis on the numerical data [6]. By
using these types of research designed the author designed and implemented the reliable
structure of the research and also developed an effective hypothesis of the research. Moreover, it
also helped the writer for improving the quality of the research and reduces the occurred errors or
problems in the investigation.

Research approach
It is an essential section of the research method that helps the author successfully perform
research in the area of project management. In the selected paper the researcher obtained the
inductive type of research approach because it is a theoretical based project for which inductive
approach is more reliable [7]. Therefore, using this type of research approach that writer
maintained the gap between the information and research topic and also enhanced the overall
performance of the investigation [8].
Data collection method
Such kind of methodology provides a way of obtaining reliable data and information regarding
the research topic. It has found that the author adopted only a secondary kind of data collection
technique because of the theoretical nature of the research. The secondary data collection process
helped the author for gathering relevant information and material about the project management.
Moreover, the author also includes the results and findings of the previous papers in order to
enhance the excellence of the research. There are few other sources also used by the author for
obtaining the secondary type of data, for example, journal papers, online websites, and books and
so on. Therefore, this type of data gathering approach maintained the gaps in the research and
also helped the author for collecting reliable information about project management.
Data analysis method
After evaluating the entire research paper it has argued that the writer adopted the content type of
method for analyzing the obtained data and facts. The authors avoided statistical analysis method
because it is theoretical based research that can be evaluated by using only the content analysis
technique [10]. By including this type of method the authors obtained the effective results and
also achieved aims in an effective manner. Therefore, the selected research methodologies
effectively supported the researcher for conducting the investigation and also reduced the
drawbacks or gaps happened in the past journal papers.
Findings of the paper
From this article, it has found that planning and supervision both are very important key features
of the project management that assist the project managers for identifying the possible problems
linked with the projects. It is obtained that there are major two kinds of processes used in the era

of PM for example enterprise process and enterprise products [6]. The researcher critically
reviewed the PM and also highlighted the methodologies of PM that can help the readers for
improving their skills. Moreover, PRINCE2 is an effective methodology that delivers an
electronic support process which allows the project boss to track the overall progress of the
selected projects [9].
Problems highlighted in the paper
In this research, the authors highlighted that reducing problems and issues occurred in the project
is a common issue for the project managers. It is very difficult for project managers for
identifying the possible issues linked with the sources which can influence on the presentation of
the projects. The author also highlighted that the issue of risk occurs in the various sectors such
as time management, integrality management, and cost management and so on. It is observed
that in the project management the common problem is the transformation of assumptive which
is highlighted in this journal paper.
Results and discussion
The results of the selected paper show that project management is an important part of the
companies that have the ability for managing the effectiveness of the projects. It is observed that
the plan of the selected project is a reliable approach that can be used for improving the overall
quality of the projects [11]. This paper shows the key features of project management and
explained the various methodologies and standards of project management. It has found that the
management of the enterprise process plays a major role in the quality management system [6].
Conclusion of the article
This paper described the concept behind project management and argued about the
methodologies used in project management. In which the author examined generation regulation
of standards, the project range management, resource management, and process linked with
risks. The author also compared the three most standards used in the project management and
concluded that these methodologies serve various aims and help the project managers for
controlling risk and issues occurred in the projects. Moreover, it is suggested that the problems
linked with the work coordination are much more complex. The selected article is related to the
