INTRODUCTION The personal and professional development is referred to as the process by which the organisation and the individual engages in the learning process in order to meet their goals and challenges. This development helps the individual in developing itself overall and contributes to its successful career. It helps in understanding the job role and focuses on improving and developing the skill in order to perform the job roles and responsibilities adequately. Work based learning is a kind of strategy which helps to give real work life experience to individuals so that theycanapplytheirtechnicalandacademicskills.Thiswillensuredevelopmentof employability skills which is useful in professional development. The organisation chosen for this report is Tesco, a multinational British company dealing in retail industry. It was established in 1919 and is headquartered in UK. This report shall cover the personal and professional training needed to perform the desired job role, the professional and personal learning and development needs for the organisation, how employee motivation can be improved and a comprehensive project with the solutions to the problem. Further it will cover the tools which can used to evaluate the project and a reflective report. TASK 1 State your desired future career role and explain what personal and professional training you require for that future career role. In order to gain the future goal of career, it is important to have personal and professional training. To perform the job role accurately and effectively, an individual must possess such skills, knowledge and competencies which can be helpful for the desired future goal. For me, the desired future goal is the position of the Human resource Advisor in the multinational company. The HR Advisor is entrusted with the role to recruit and select the most potential and capable candidate into the company so that they can efficiently contribute to the organisational goals and objectives. Also the HR advisor, train and develop the employees so that their efficiency is enhanced and they can work to improve the productivity of the organisation. For me, in order to become the productive and efficient HR Advisor, it shall be important for me that I have such requisite skills and knowledge which shall help me ion performing my job role effectively and also enhance my processional development. This role of HR Advisor will help me in improving and developing the skills which can be done by the personal and
professional training. So to enhance my capabilities and become efficient in this job role, I have taken this responsibility to learn this on my own in my workplace. To begin with this task, I will initially take the staff manual and start reading it. This will help me in gaining the knowledge and information regarding the organisation and its culture so that I can make myself prepared for the process of interview.Then the next step will be to conduct the survey of the existing customers of the company so that I can get in depth information about the working of the company. Thirdly, I will take some professional books through which I will learn what all skills and knowledge is required for the role of HR Advisor. This will help me in understanding the approaches and theories which are required for the management of the staff in an effective manner. Fourthly, I will take feedback from my peers and superiors who will guide me in identifying my weaknesses and strength.This will really help me in improving and developing those skills which are needed for the desired job role of HR Advisor. Feedbacks from colleagues will also help me in knowing my progress so that I can manage my performance and the key areas where there is scope for improvement. Another important point for work based learning for the role of HR Advisor is improvement in the communication skill which is the most important. It can be improved by undergoing nay training programs so that I can deliver my information well to others. Some other skills include time management, problem solving, handling pressure and others will also enhance my abilities and capabilities for this job role. TASK 2 Identify your personal and professional learning and development needs that would help the organisation to minimise or eliminate the identified problems and challenges. I have gained this opportunity to work in the company Tesco as the HR manager. While working in the company, I got to knows that the company is facing problems like under performance of the employees and poor communication network which have resulted in severe consequences like quality is compromised, increased turnover of employees and the loss of the loyal customers to competitors. The company really has to work on this other it will face adverse problems. I have recently developed some skills which will help in identifying and eliminating these problems.

Another problem of poor communication can be improved bybuilding a good network between all the units so that they can clearly communicate with other and any confusion or doubt is eliminated. This will help inbuilding the strong customer base as employees will work efficiently and there will be decreased employee turnover. TASK 3 Propose a Plan for a Work-Based Project to evaluate how employee motivation can be improved. The most important work in the organisation is to timely motivate the employees so that they can increase and improve their productivity. As their performance has direct link to the progress of the company, it is important to motivate the workforce. As a HR manager of Tesco, it is my obligation to motivate the employees so that they can work efficiently and effectively. For motivating the workforce, it is important to identify their loopholes and work on to fill their skill gap so that they can work with their increased productivity.A personal development plan will help the employees to fill their lacunas and improve and develop their skills. It is an action plan

The title of the project id “Training and Development Project”.The objective of this project is to make sure that the underperformed employee is motivated and the company is able to overcome the challenges which is faced by it. Through this project, training shall be given by the managers in order to enhance the productivity of the employees. This project is aimed to solve al the three problems which is faced by the company which involves underperformance of the employees, poor communication and lack of motivation in employees. As per the above discussed task, the major problems identified in the company are underperformance of workforce, poor communication and lack of employee which is degrading the quality of work and affectingthe overall performance of the company. The position of the company is affected due to these problems. As per my observation, it is important for the organisation to deal with these issues as soon as possible so that there is no hardship faced by it. As I have been working in this company from last few months, I shall recommend the managers of the organisation Tesco few solutions which will help in overcoming these problems. For the issue of under performance of employees,it is recommended that the managers must have active listening capacity so that they listen to the problems and issues of the employees and find solution to it. This will help in efficient performance. Another solution shall be feedback fromemployersandmanagerssothatworkforcecanworkontheirlacunasandmake improvements accordingly. Also appreciation to the employees is very necessary so that they can work on to give their best every time. Another problem is poor communication. For this it is recommended that effective communication channel must be built between each of the department so that clear delivery of information is ensured. Also an effective policy must be initiated where the employees get right
to speak and put their opinion so that they can give their ideas. This will help company in coming with new ideas and enhancing their quality of work. Third problem is the lack of motivation in the workforce. For eliminating this problem, I recommend the managers of Tesco that they must start to appreciate and appraise the employees so that they feel motivated to give their best and work harder. Moreover, the employers must come up with reward scheme so that they can motivate the employees and encourage them to work efficiently and also their morale will be enhanced. Also the managers must focus on individual motivation where they cangive feedback to employee in personal and appraisals in the group in order make them recognised. This will motivate them to do their best. All the above mentioned recommendations will help the company Tesco in overcoming these challenges and result in high productivity and efficiency. TASK 5 Use an appropriate tool (or tools) to monitor and evaluate the progress of the Project. Evaluation and Monitoring is the key element which is used for the progress of the project and the company, Monitoring merely helps in evaluating to keep check on the work of the employees about there performance, growth and strategy. For all these evaluation certain tools like survey and questionnaire are used. As questionnaire may be distributed to all the employees and that may be used to know the progress of the project and alsoideas of the employees about any new implementation, it also helps to know about the strength and the interpretation being raised by the employees and there motivation about that project. In regards to the performances and responsibilities of an HR advisor and manager of the organisation I found out that there are certain problems and challenges that are being faced by the entity in regards to its workforce which is causing high influence on the overall performances of the organisation. In response to the HR manager role I found out that the company is being facing the issue of poor communication channels due to which sever consequences are coming in the pathway of the
entity. Problem which was identified by me in regards to Tesco and its challenges is of poor leadership strategies and practices being used by the management of the organisation. The next task was of to perform and develop a professional development plan in order to evaluate how employees can be motivated within Tesco to perform their best and in the favour of the entity. Through professional development plan identify the circle skills that are needed to be increased. the first area of learning on which I concentrated is of team working skills which is an attractive source for back the enthusiasm within the workforce and making them highly encouraged to work with their well in regards to offer the best to the company. The next area on which I concentrated in the professional development plan is of developing positive working environment for the workforce within the workplace. In regards to my opinion as the HR manager and advisor of Tesco it is an important criteria for the company to focus on that is to render the best suitable for environment to the employees in order to make them work efficiently and effectively for the agenda of the company. Movingalongintheprojectthenexttaskwasconcentratedondevelopinga comprehensive project a design in order to recommend some appropriate solutions to Tesco in order to overcome its challenges and barriers regarding the people. Lastly, in the first task of the report identified certain monitoring and evaluating tools for the organisation in order to make progress and bring betterment within the company. positive environment and keeping them highly motivated towards the ultimate objectives and agenda of the organisation as well as keeping them enthusiastic to attain the required amount of goals and targets. CONCLUSION It is concluded from this report that that personal and professional learning helps in achieving the desired goals. For the desired job role of HR Advisor, studying relevant study material, surveys, feedback from seniors will help in preparing for the interview for this job role in the multinational company. While working in Tesco, the company was facing problems like underperformance of employees, poor communication and lack of employees. These can be overcome by the project called the training and development project which will help in training the employees which will help in motivating them and their efficiency and productivity can be increased. The development plan is being prepared which will help in motivating the employees to build a positive working environment for all, effective leadership and the team work must be encouraged so that they can feel like home and work for the success and objectives of the company. At last it is concluded that monitoring the progress of the project shall be done by Benchmarking tool which will help in making effective steps.
