The report is reflected on the case study of Modular Building System. Due to usage of this
system in the construction industry, there are benefits on quality, schedule, cost as well as

1. INTRODUCTION
The case study is based on modular building system (MBS) used for the construction of housing and
building within Australia. A brief description of the project is provided with aim of the modular
building system used in the construction area. The system innovation in the building area is discussed
by building work with modular concepts. There is listing of the project outcomes based on quality,
schedule, cost and safety. Possible improvement over innovation is also mentioned in this case study
report.
1.1.Project Name and Description
The project considered for the case study is Administrative Building for Airport Site Office. MBS is
engaged in the construction of the administrative building to design as well as construct the building
for the Western Sydney Airport. The opening date of the project is 2026. The administrative building
is 1400m2 included of the reception, working areas, kitchens, board room, offices, communication
room and meeting rooms (mbs.com.au, 2019). The building design of Western Sydney Airport Site
