INTRODUCTION
Motivation is defined as procedure of stimulating people to actions in order to attain set goal
and objectives (Bellemare & et. al., 2016). It is very important for organisation to provide
motivation to their work force in terms of financial gains, recognition, training and development,
growth and so. The given report is based on case study of Tony’s Toner organisation which was
established in 1986 at California, United States. It is manufacturing company which manufacture
power called as toner that is used in laser printer, photocopies for printing texts and images on
paper. The main aim of report is to cover about elements faced by Larissa for career success and
growth, strategy for maintaining fair environment in sales department with their executive. It
highlights about alternative motivation theories to address problems and action plan as well as
implementation to improve performance of employee working in organisation.
PART 1
1) Elements missing by Larissa for her career in terms of motivation
It is very important for organisation to motivate and encourage their staff and employees
for better work performance so that goal and objectives can be attained in an effective and
efficient manner (Botvinick & Braver, 2015). They have to consider their requirements so that
they feel happy to give their best performance. In case of Larissa, elements which are missing
that would motivate her are encouragement, financial gains, recognition and others. As she was
highly dedicated and hard working employees in sales department of Toner’s Tony organisation
who has received best performance awards as well as employee of month awards. I think Larissa
is lacking recognition in her career in terms of motivation. She is working in respective
organisation from last five years in sales department and she knows very well to deal with her
client and fulfils their requirements to enhance sales as well as productivity.
2) Main problem for Larissa and identify them
According to my opinion, the main problem which is faced by Larissa at this point in
time is motivation (Botvinick & Braver, 2015). When organisation hired new sale executive for
expansion of their business in which they gave half of Larissa’s client to new executive. This has
made her sad and demotivated to give better performance, raise sales and others. Also she was
undervalued and unappreciated for her work which create problem for her to give best to
organisation and enhance sales as well as productivity. Larissa is facing problem with her
