Introduction
One of the important tasks within organizations is the management of a successful business
project. A business project usually has a significant amount of resources and a big impact on
the company's operation. The work in this project is focused on Greggs Plc. in order to
understand the ramifications of equality and diversity, leadership, operations and marketing
The business plan is conducted using various tools and technologies for analysis, together
with the accompanying research methodology, to achieve the desired results.

P1 Project Aim and Objectives
Project management is one of the important tasks of a project. The company's role and
progress depend on proper and effective business project management (Aston, 2019). The
research will be based on Greggs Plc. Greggs Plc in the United Kingdom's largest bakery
chain. It specializes in tasty foods like bakes, rollers and sandwiches as well as sweet things
such as bacon or coffee. It is based near Newcastle on Tyne in North Tyneside. Greggs sells
healthy, fresh food that consumers can trust at reasonable prices. The dream is to be a
customer choice for ongoing food with more than 1,850 shops nationwide and serving
millions of customers every week.
Topic
"Gender divide in leadership and the response of companies to maintain equality and
diversity in the workplace."
Equality and Diversity
Equality concerns with equal treatment and equal rights for all residents. Equality means
ensuring that individuals and groups of people are not treated differently or less favorably,
depending on their individual rights, including race, sex, disability, religion or belief, sexual
orientation and age. (The University of Edinburgh, 2019). And the variation between people
and groups of people is taken into account in diversity. Acceptance and reverence are part
of the concept of diversity. It means that everyone is special besides having individual
differences. The dimensions can cover race, ethnicity, gender, gender orientation, socio-
economic status, age, physical abilities, religious convictions, political convictions or other
ideology (Petty and Petty, 2019).
Project Aim
The aim of the research project is to identify the possible impacts of the gender divide in
leadership within a business organization using an example of a business organization.

As an example, women leaders can be founded in a small number in the business world and
the man are occupying almost all the roles in every sector such as education, medicine and
military. This is world problem and I considered that studying the possible impact of the
gender in leadership I can show the emportance of diversity in workplace.
Project Objectives
Business project’s success mostly depends on determining the objectives that are essential
in reaching the goals of the project. The objectives of the research are mentioned below:
To present the effectiveness of equality and diversity in the workplace in order to
increase organisations productivity.
To investigate the ways Greggs Plc manage equality and diversity in the workplace to
satiate their employees.
To analyze the negative effects of not ensuring equality and diversity in business
organization
To evaluate the need for gender divide in leadership in order to promote equality
and diversity in the workplace.
To recommend the ways Greggs Plc can response to maintain equality and diversity
in the workplace.
P2 Project Management Plan
A project management plan is the culmination of a project manager's meticulous planning.
According to the Institute for Project Management, It is "standardized documentation that is
approved and used to support all project execution and project management processes".
The project management plan is critical because it guarantees the outcomes, and provides
real value against the potential of the business. It ensures an adequate execution plan on
strategic objectives and also brings task management and guidance. Through it, quality
control and risk assessment can be possible (Aston, 2019).
Project Management Plan
Cost Cost is the total need of the capital to make the project a success. Cost
is needed from the initiation of the project to closing the project.
Managing the cost of the project is very crucial as without effective

cost management biases can arise in the project. Cost allocation in a
project is essential to maintain the workflow of the overall process.
From the perspective of research, researcher has to undergo from the
various activities like collection of information, analysis of data,
determination of results and recommendation of measures. The total
cost incurred to effectively complete research will be £ 150.
For this project, the project manager has to ensure a budget to
conduct the project effectively. The cost of this project can include
employee remuneration, equipment cost, data collection and
analyzation cost and so on. The cost is determined according to the
needs and the requirements of the project. The following is the cost
allocation of the project:

Scope The project scope includes all the activities that must be conducted to
make the project a success. This project covers the key aspects of
organizational equality and diversity. Scopes of this project includes
planning a successful project plan that contains achievable aim and
objectives. Besides, activities such as a work breakdown structure, a

Gantt chart also are part of the project scopes. As equality and
diversity in the workplace are the most debated issue so the scope of
this project is in a big area.
The scope of current research is wide as this help in determination of
the impact of gender divide leadership over organizational
performance along with different personnel's. The wide nature of
scope of this research not only help to determine the impact but also
contributes in identification of possible preventive measures too.
Time Project time management will be a key step forward. Therefore, time is
an important step for business in each chapter. It makes it effective
and productive to achieve the goals. A 10-week duration and strict
adherence to the time limit will be given for the project. The project
will start on 4th January and will finish on 14th March 2020.
From research perspective the time required will be 2 weeks. The
different activities which are going to be perform in this period of time
includes collection of data, data analysis and interpretation of results.
Quality Quality assurance is one of the main factors in certain processes for
each company. The objective of this project is to achieve a good quality
of research. The research will be conducted maintaining proper legal
barriers, and standards. The goal of the research is to create a clear
understanding of workplace equality and diversity. Studies can also
analyze the relationship between organizational culture and workforce
optimisation.
From the perspective of research, statistical tools will be used to carry
on the research activities along with determining results that are able
to provide authentic and reliable data. This improves the quality of
decision making in last to provide effective re-commendatory
measures.
Communicatio
n
Communication will play a vital role in handling the research. The
survey questionnaire will be sent to the participants through E-mail as
it is the safest and quickest way. If there are any difficulties, the
participants will be contacted directly and will be provided with the
questionnaire firsthand. The outcome of the research will be illustrated
as a report form and the valid and required information will be
provided maintaining a standard structure.
For research perspective, communications tools will be use includes e-
mail, texts, cell phones etc. These will help each to made connection
and complete all exercises properly on time.
Risks In order to implement a successful business strategy, the risks within
the venture must be assessed. There are certain risks associated with
the execution of this project within the timeframe. Some external
factors, including policy and resource management, are also relevant.

Completing the project within the budget and within the required time
frame are the main risks. In this project, the project manager also can
face communication risks through misconceptions. So, to avoid these
kinds of risks the project manager should ensure appropriate risk
management to avoid the possible risks. To avoid communication risks,
the project can use the hybrid communication process and face to face
communication processes also can be used.
The different number of risks associated with the exercise of research
includes lack of knowledge, non-supportive behavior of respondents,
ineffective application of tools, wrong interpretation of data etc. The
negative impact of risks will be ascertained in the form of
inappropriate results.
Resources Both human resource and material resources will be needed to
complete the project. Four researchers will be needed to successfully
complete the research. Resources like laptop, pen, paper, chair and
table are also required. For this research, the financial resource is set
at £1000.
The different amount of resources required for carrying research
activities properly includes researchers, communication tools, funds
etc. All these have their own distinctive role within an organization.
These allows in effective performance of activities along with
attainment of predetermined objectives.

Work Breakdown Structure
It is necessary to maintain their work sequence in an organizational structure for the unique
fragments of time. Project completion in a sequence is efficient in small segments. It is also
effective for the company to assign resources and budget for each action at a time. The
employees can preserve information with a work breakdown structure. The work
