Purpose of assessment This unit covers the competency required to transmit and receive
communications in routine and operational situations using the
organization’s communications systems and equipment. This unit applies
to a person who is required to operate an organization’s communications
systems and equipment in support of the tasks they are undertaking. This
work may occur either in the field or from a facility.

For this unit, students are required to submit documentation as well as evidence which possess the
potential to meet the requirements of each element in the unit along with satisfying the specific
performance evidence needs. Students are requested to provide us with as much evidence possible in order
to support your claim for the RPL.
 Safety considerations
All the students will be assessed during the time of the assessment by the assessor.
All the students will be warned about any kinds of hazards present in the room during the time of
interview or assessment.

In case any student is able to gain satisfactory marks after his or her 1st completed submission, he/she will
be provided with a second chance of resubmission. However, this time they have to work only on the

questions they have not gained satisfactory marks.

any part of this task or in case they have any learning issues/ requirement that may prevent them when
