Setting clear Exceptions The company also sets the boundaries in which various tasks and activities will be performed so that the employees can be free and assigned by the work which is required to be done. By setting clear expectations the employees are given permission to take and make decisions which will motivate them in the sense that they are also considered as an important part of the Organization.
Theme 3: Performance of Nandos is getting affected due to poor motivation among employees Employees are responsible for the success of the company directly or indirectly, the values they carry within themselves in the perspective of the company determines the work culture and work ethics that the company abides which even attracts the stakeholders and future investors to invest in the company, so when the employees lacks motivation, the organization needs to take immediate and effective measures to resolve the difficulties that the individuals are facing. The major reasons because of which the employees start losing their motivation are as follows: When the skills of an employee don’t match with the task or the project that has been allotted, the person starts losing interest which reduces the employee’s efficiency with a tremendous rate, to work on this issue Nando's needs to train their employees well, by which they can pick up the tasks that will be allotted. When the employees are not given the credit of the work they have done results in the self-doubt and low self-esteem of the employees as they have never enjoyed the phase of achievement as the management never rewarded, this makes it important for Nando’s to give credit to its deserving employees. It’s tough to manage and execute everything manually for which it becomes necessary for Nando's to adapt the updated and effective soft wares which helps the employees to execute their processes with efficiency and helps the employees in regaining their motivation and self-belief. Theme 4: Cut in other benefits are the main reason of demotivation Cuts in other benefits or payments definitely turns out to be beneficial for the small businesses to make some additional savings for the further investment in the business, but this tremendously effects the morale and motivation of the employees which is far beyond expensive for any scale company (Jayathilake,and Annuar,, 2021).On one hand these deductions prove to be beneficial for the company for small duration but providing the benefits and the total pay to the employees will bring long term benefits to the company. functional ability of the Employees which can Affect the organization. The cut in benefits of the Employees have various results such as, Reduction in Loyalty as the employees are stressed over the next cut off and the situation which can arise on next. The employees also take the decisions to leave the job or to resign from that Business or an organization so that they can find better opportunities and better pay which can motivate them to work in an effective and efficient manner which can also motivate them to give the best of their potential to the organization. Employees start developing the feeling of being devalued which eventually reflects in the quality of their work, when the benefits and pay is not given to employees according to their ranks makes them doubt their worth and they start feeling lower in comparison to others. Employees which are not given enough credit and appreciation for the hard work they are putting in, will result in their decreasing morale (Zoltners and Lorime2021). With a deducted pay increased productivity can't be expected, the deductions take away the spirit of hard work, which will affect the business in many areas which will not be fruitful in any scenario. When the company doesn't provide the financial stability it leads to reduced loyalty as the employees starts to look for new opportunities by who provides the perks and the fair atmosphere that the present company is not. Theme 5:The Nando's increase the basic pay to motivate the workforce. Additional benefits with the standard pay something that experienced employees looks for, along with increasing the salary of its employees Nando's has put its emphasis on other benefits also which includes flexible work timing, free food, the employees are allowed to take the unsold food with themselves as it not only prevents the wastage of the food but also creates brand value among the employees, there exists additional discounts for the employees of the cafe(.Khandelwal,and Shekhawat., 2018). Through various surveys it’s understandable that employees will choose a standard paying job with additional health and leave benefits instead of a high paying jobs with no such benefits. In an analysis executed by the Human Resource Management Society of the US discovered that 85% employees believe that a pay raise and compensations helps in increasing the motivation of employees and makes them work harder by using their optimum capabilities, which were not being used earlier as they were not being rewarded for the work they were putting in. The overall benefits except the standard pay are very crucial as they determine the
working environment of the company, employees can have different rates of satisfactions even while having the same pay but some with benefits. Well there exists several factors which derive the practice of providing benefits to the employees including, the company's budget as this regulates the way in which the money will be spent, compensations and benefits are considered as expenses for the company, so its needs to be seen that the limit of the budget is not extended. The benefits and compensations are provided after reviewing the salary as it sets the bench mark for the organizations. Theme6:TheNando'ssponsorstheParalympicgamesfortheengagementofthe workforce. The people of Nando's believes that its not just a chicken shop but the business is about the people who cook the chicken and are indulged in providing the services, several factors affects the functioning of an organization, for which organizations focuses on developing methodologies and strategies to investigate the ways by which the interest of the company can be protected (Krishna, and Upadhyay 2018). The human resource of an organization holds the spirits of the employees and is responsible for the effective working of the company along with employee satisfaction. Nando's have been constantly making efforts to develop the feeling of belonging with the band in the employees for which the human resource to keep its employees indulged. Differentorganizationadaptsdifferentwaysfor employeeengagement,the most common way is to indulge the employees in different sports or any other fun activity which is conducted by the human resources of the organization, which helps the employees to develop the bond among themselves and also help them in concentrating more in their work. Theme 7: Nando’s motivate employees by facilitating with different benefits In 2019 Nando's made its presence in on the Glass door and was highly rated by the employees of the business, 94% of the company employees approved Nando's working environment and style which eventually made the CEO of Nando's as the top CEO of 2018. As the company believes that the business is because of the people that works for the company, on the basis of this philosophy Nando's has provided several benefits to its employees as stated in the glassdoor reviews which are as follows;
Employees at Nandos are allowed to take unsold food after every shift which can be considered as fee food, along with it the employees gets paid leaves, office parties and many more other benefits, through Perk box a technology that is being used by the company to allocate the benefits to their employees. Its noted that even with the long working hours and tiring shifts the employees of Nandos rated the company 4-5 stars because of the other benefits that the company is providing as it helps the individuals to save (Habel, and Linsenmayer2021). This makes its noticeable that employees do give preference to perk and benefits, so it should be known that if an organization has a pretty hectic work schedule it should be balanced out with the perk and benefits, as keeps the morale of the employee high and gives a sense of happiness to the individual. Many employees of Nandos has mentioned on different platforms that how friendly and cordial the other employees and management are, many employees prefer to stay in the same company because of the friendships that they have developed with the employees and their mangers. This indicated that Nando's is good with its work ethics and the values such as honesty, passion and integrity. Theme 8: Employee motivation at Nando’s increasing the retention Motivation is the key factor which derives the employee’s satisfaction which ultimately brings employee retention, it catalysis individual’s success which results in their career growth and helps in being the best version of themselves. The management has an important role to play in the retention of the employees who already known the ways in which the organization executes their functions and perform way better than the employee who has just recently joined (Atefi, and Carlson2018). It’s crucial to appreciate and give credit to individuals who have performed well and bring profits in the organization, it’s not necessary that the appreciation needs to be in a materialistic way, verbal appreciation also comes along. For developing loyalty among the employees its essential that the top performers get all the limelight, as this will promote others to give their level best. The employees need to take the ownership of their work and which can only come through motivation, as when the employees will start having their ownership's they will be able to achieve the expectations that their managers have from them. Daily, weekly or monthly dose of motivation needs to be sent by the superiors to keep their teams motivated.

Incentives of all forms are a good way of motivating the team members, the employees who have been performing well throughout should be recognized in front of all the employees which will boost the motivation of the employee also will make the employee realized that the company do consider his/her work which will help the company to retain the employee. (Obal, and Morgan 2018). Employee retention can’t be expected from the company who doesn't believes in motivating its employees, as no one like to continue at a play where his/her hard work is not recognized and if they are not being treated well.It is considered as an important part of The Business and the organization which can be helpful in increasing the functional ability of the Employees as well as their work desire to perform effectively and efficiently in the organization Reducing the chances of workforce reduction and other problems.If the company wants their employees to continue with their positions, it needs to practice various motivation factors, to recognize the work of the individuals. Theme 9: Employee motivation augmenting the sales at Nando's Money is not the ultimate factor which is responsible for motivating the employees, as it is noticed that people with higher packages lacks motivation. Sales is a department which is tiring and exciting at the same time as compared to other teams the sales teams enjoys much more incentives, as they can make good money in the department, but as mentioned money is not the ultimate factor to drive the teams with the same excitement and motivation throughout the execution of the project. If the employees finds motive in the work that they are doing, brings a sense of motivation and passion for the work, which makes them walk through the entire process (Novianty,and Evita2018). Until and unless the sales team does not comply with the mission and vision of the organization the company will not hold any significance, the employees drive their motivation from knowing how the product will resolve the issues of common individuals. Altogether the work of the Salesforce should be valued by the higher management, and showing the impact that they are creating in the organization, which can be done by involving them in the decision-makingprocessesalongwiththeircareeradvancementwithperformancebased increment. The management should focus that the internal competition among the team do not extend as this may lead to internal conflicts which will not be appreciated under any scenarios.
The motive of the company is to compete with the competitors not internally. Sales teams should be given the authority to experiment with new methods and to implement new ideas which will help the business to expand on a larger scale and grow within, for which the team seeds the time, freedom and their own personal space to cultivate their ideas. Sale people should be responsible for closing the deals as this provides a sense of authority. Theme 10: Nando’s becoming an attractive employer Why one should join Nandos? Well seems like a legit question, and with a more sorted answer as the company believes in the people and focuses its functioning on this philosophy of providing for the people who are working for the company. Nando's has provided many perks to its employees which compensates the long and tiring work shifts. The company provides free food in every shift to its employees, the food which was not sold during the day this not only prevents wastage of food but also helps promotes savings, as the employees do not have spent money for their food (Ahmad, and Siddiqi 2022). Nando’s believes in providing flexible working hours which does not put the employee in the pressure of serving when the situations are not favorable along with this the company provides paid leaves and many more facilities through perk box which allots 40% discount on their every order from Nando's. As the company understand the needs and provides the benefits necessary to its employees makes it an attractive option for the job seekers, as the weight age of perks and benefits is more than a high paying job with no such benefits.
