The report includes the analysis of the current network of the organization and identification of

Introduction
It is very important for any type of organization to have an efficient network setup to
perform their business operations efficiently. The advance Medicos Limited company is no
exception in this scenario; the organization deals with the health and medical industry. Currently
the organization has a network existent in the current building complexes. However, the current
strength of the organization is around 200 and they are looking to expand the strength to 400.
Hence, the requirement to relay the network for the organization have come up.
The report provides the details of the current network layout of the organization. The
details of the relayed structures and the functionalities to be added to the new network are
provided in the report aided with some illustrations.
Analysis of the user requirements
Current Networking model
The AML organization have begun their business with a traditional network layout,
which is connected by means of switches and the cables only. In addition to this, the current
network does not possess any scope for providing wireless access to their staffs and the security
constraints of the network is not up to the mark in the current situations. Hence, the rise for the
network redesigning process is required. The redesigned network is also required to allocate
around 400 employees in the network.

Current hierarchy of the organization
Currently the organization have two buildings and the buildings have two departments
working in each of them. The network for both the buildings are connected by means of the
switches. The network system allocation made to each of the building in the organization is
described below:

Existing network
The existing network of the organization is formed with the concept of BUS topology,
where all the networking nodes are connected by means of switches and cables. The linear
connections in the network is maintained. The logical network topology of the organization is
provided below:

In addition to this, each department is having their own smaller networks having their
personal switch, which is connected by the means of switches, and connecting cables. Each of
the department have their own number of system and printers allocated to them. The physical
model of the network is provided below:

Building A
Building A has the software department, the marketing departments residing in the
complex with the network set up done for the departments having a number of workstations, and
the number of printers are allocated in the system according to the network layout of the
organization.

Building B
Building B has the product, the administrator departments exist in the complex with the
network set up done for the departments having a number of computer unit, and the number of
printers are allocated in the system according to the network layout of the organization.
Current system Requirement
The current system does not have a proper access to the wireless connections in the
network and the security features of the network are not secured accordingly. In addition to this
the routing of the network traffic are also not done accordingly in the current network. The

organization also has a requirement to expand their network and hence the redesigned network is
to address all the requirements for the current network
Objectives and goals of the network
The main aim of the network is to increase the facilities and the performance of the
network so that the organization can have a better communication and secure network at their
disposal to perform their business procedures efficiently. The objective of the network are:
 To provide better security to the network
 To provide better communication facilities
 To allocate more machine to the network
 To provide wireless access to the network
Business goals
The main business goals of the network that is to be developed for the organization are:
 Better communication
 Reduction in the response time in the network
 Better security in the network
 Data controls and access control features in the network
Technical Goals of the network
 Current Network: The current network should be improved so that the network
performance is constant throughout both the buildings of the organization.
 Scalability: The system should be scalable so that they can allocate 400 employees
within the network.

 Availability: The network should be available for communication 24x7 in the
organization.
 Access: The accessibility of the network of network is to be expanded with certain
restriction implemented in it.
 Performance: The noise and the distortions in the network should be reduced to a certain
level the communication process in the network is not hampered.
 Reliability: the network should be reliable enough so that there are not data loss or data
destruction in the network.
 Security: The network of the organization should be secured to a great extent so that no
unauthorized access is made possible in the network and the access control is maintained
in the network.
Description and Analysis of Current Setup
Cable Requirements
The network connection are to be made with the help of the cat 5 cables.
Router and Switch Requirements
Three routers are to be installed in the network and the network is to be distributed with
the other network nodes with the help of the switches in the network.
Server Requirements
The mail server is required for the communication process, the FTP server is required for
the file storage facility in the network and the DHCP server is required in the network for the
automatic allocation of the IP addresses in the network.

Conclusion
For conclusion it can be said that the current network layout of the organization has been
analyzed and hence the network of the organization is to be relayed. Therefore, a network
solution has been provided to the organization doe their network engineers to implement. The
solutions have been aided with some illustration.
