1. Executive Summary
The main objective of this report is understand the case study of integrated
project management solution for automotive supplier. Alfmeier Präzision SE is a
precision engineering company that makes tiny components for changing the
system to support its project management organization. In spite of providing
several advantages to their customers, they are facing an issue of mixture of
project management solutions with numerous applications of Microsoft Office. As
a result, as soon as any management wanted the overview of project costs, he
had to ask that particular project manager individually. It eventually made the
planning of resource and cost extremely time consuming and difficult. This report
has clearly outlined the key issues highlighted in the case study with suitable
leadership characteristics, required in this case.
2. Key Issues
Alfmeier Präzision SE is a popular globalized high tech organization that
serves automotive and any other industry [2]. The business unit of Fluid systems
is required for developing the most intelligent solutions for few applications like
flap control, thermal management, servo assistance, fuel supply and even crank
case ventilation. There are few project managers assigned in the organization,
who are responsible for making the business processes and ongoing projects
successful. However, in spite of having few different project managers, there had
been issues related to alignment.
i)
Customized Functionality: The first and the foremost issue is
customized functionality. The employees or team members in the project were
hence facing subsequent issues related to customized functionalities. The first
step in this case was to get involved and then define the goals and specifications
of the project [7]. It was being followed by successful deployment of the test
system and running alongside the production system on the sides of SAP and
Microsoft Project. Project planning procedure, costs and schedules are eventually
included in the sample project.

Streamlining and Centralizing the Project Planning: This is the
second important and significant issue that is being faced is while streamlining
as well as centralizing the subsequent project planning. The head of PMO or
Project Management Office, Erich Taube has been heading up a team that has
the task for finding the most suitable solution to streamline as well as
