The following report provides the IoT infrastructure for Melbourne smart office and explains the configuration of the smart devices. To do this packet tracer is used to demonstrate the IoT infrastructure and screenshots are attached to explain the process. The report also discusses about conditions for opening and closing of the three windows and ends with concluding notes.

Introduction
The following report provides the IoT infrastructure for Melbourne smart office and
explains the configuration of the smart devices. To do this packet tracer is used to
demonstrate the IoT infrastructure and screenshots are attached to explain the process. The

with concluding notes.
Melbourne smart office Design
The above diagram shows the IoT infrastructure design of Melbourne smart office and
how it is connected to the branch at Adelaide.

Configuring Registration Server
IP address and corresponding subnet mask are specified in the registration server.

The assigned IP is entered in the web browser of the registration server and the login
page is verified.

Adding of IoT smart devices
Smart devices are added and configured by assigning their respective SSID numbers
in the Wireless tab.

Connection, activation and set up of devices
After entering respective User ID and password the connect button is clicked. Once
successfully connected the refresh button appears.

Protocols for transmission of PDUs
For connecting the smart devices a wireless network is used with WPA2-PSK
authentication.
Adding branch in Adelaide
The network of the Adelaide branch is also shown in a very abstract level. The listed
IoT devices can be operated from this branch.

Web browser log in
The login page is opened in web browser with the IP address of registration server
and user ID, password are provided.

After logging in the connected smart devices and respective information is available.
Switching ceiling fan

The ceiling fan is a smart IoT device that is remotely connected to the wireless router
and is activated or deactivated as per sensory data obtained by it.
Locking/unlocking door
The smart door is a smart IoT device that is remotely connected to the wireless router
and is activated as per sensor information.

The LED lamp is a smart IoT device that is remotely connected to the wireless router
and is activated at scheduled times.

The lawn sprinkler is a smart IoT device that is remotely connected to the wireless
router and is activated at scheduled times.

Conditions to open windows
Carbon monoxide detector
The Carbon monoxide detector is always switched ‘On’. When the carbon monoxide
detector detects increase in carbon monoxide (CO) outside the house instructions are
forwarded for window 1 to be closed.
Carbon Dioxide (outside)
The Carbon dioxide detector is always switched ‘On’.When the carbon dioxide
detector detects increase in carbon dioxide (CO2) outside the house instructions are forwarded
for window 1 to be closed.

Window 1 is a smart IoT device which is remotely connected to the wireless router
and is closed when respective instructions are received from the sensors.

Carbon Dioxide detector (In house)
The Carbon dioxide detector inside the house is always switched ‘On’.When the
carbon dioxide detector detects increase in carbon dioxide (CO2) outside the house
instructions are forwarded for window 2 to be opened.
