Introduction:
Nurses perform significant duties in the healthcare industry that involves caring for
patients, prevention of ailment, enhancement and optimisation of individual’s health. The duties
nurses perform are vital and are carried out with the help of diagnosis and therapy. They promote
care of individuals, families and population in the society. Therefore, undoubtedly this is one of
the most critical jobs (Rubio-Valera, Chen & O'Reilly, 2014). However, apart from the role of
nursing, the nurses need to perform many other tasks. Reflection is one of those activities that
help to understand the strengths and weaknesses of the self. The paper aims is a reflection of my
strengths and weaknesses, understood through an online assessment test showing my leadership
skills.
Strengths and weakness on the basis on the report:
A nurse is bestowed with many responsibilities that they need to cover before and after
any doctor’s visit by the patients. To perform these duties, a nurse needs to have certain qualities
that are essential for their job (Strauss, 2018). Being one of those people who are aiming to serve
as a nurse by profession, I too possess certain attributes. These qualities might work for me both
in positive or negative ways, or they may become my strengths or weaknesses in future. While
the strengths will become my additional benefits, the weakness would require more attention for
improvement (Hoeve, Jansen & Roodbol, 2014).
In the following paragraphs, I would discuss my strengths and weakness in the
perspective of nursing leadership, focusing on four content areas. The four content areas are as
follows:

Personal and professional accountability: Considering the personal and professional
accountability, I can ensure that my strengths include the ability to forecast future revenue and
expenses. It is my strength as it gives me strong intuition power and makes me trust my feeling
and make decisions. I am good at evaluating productivity which is a positive way of helping me
understand my duties and responsibilities along with my time management. I will be able to
understand the patients and would provide them with more attention and care. Moreover, the
patients will need more time to recover which is understood by me when I reviewed their data.
Career planning: In the context of this report, I can say that I am an active person who
can understand own abilities and work on it. I know the importance of time and am also, very
well at forecasting. This pushes me to become time oriented such as making a five-year plan. In
the five year plan, I tend to see growth in my career in nursing. I would like to see myself in
good position in future. I also would like to make fast adaptation to the plans I make for myself.
In difficult situations, I am able to keep a calm posture and mind. I am also good in adapting to
changes and blending with the changes sustaining my own character, in the way. Due to this, I
consider myself a career oriented person as I have more than the average score in section 1, the
science in the assessment. My career planning process is a step by step journey for me.
Personal journey disciplines: While considering the report, in the personal journey
disciplines I can consider myself as a person with discipline. I am a problem solver and I do not
avoid any problem in order to solve them later. I like a healthy working environment and I
promote stress management. Since stress is a significant cause of loss of productivity, I avoid
procrastination and try solving the issue since the issue begins.
Reflective practice reference behaviour tents: I have understood myself as being
competent. I have the ability to tolerate and accept diverse beliefs and practices. I have even tried
