INTRODUCTION
The essay is based on the reflective description about the role of nurses and focused on the
registered nurses. It will discuss the role analysis on the basis of trends, history of emergency
room nurses role and examine the current issues or problems facing professional at the time
of special needs. Furthermore, the documentation will describe the job description and
identify the specification of nursing profession. Moreover, it will determine the skill and
experience, what a nurse will need to meet specific demand of people. It will be conducting a
personal development plan and include smart objectives to achieve desirable goals or
objectives.
Graduate destination
Knowing that I was going to finish my course of master in nursing and majorly specialise in
emergency areas. This kind of thing is always inspired me to find the best career option in the
emergency medical department. After completing education, I was scary at the moment
where I can handle the responsibility for myself, my family (Baghdadi, Farghaly Abd‐EL
Aliem and Alsayed, 2021). In some cases, I felt afraid because I have no particular
experience but I always tried to overcome scary feeling in my mind. Due to my nursing
course, I have a learned a lot of thing during my 3rd years. When specific process is helped
me to remind me what I am good at some point. I want to continue gain more professional
experience and focus on the emergency department.
From this kind realization, I knew exactly what kind of work is suitable for me. Now, I am
thrilled to start my new chapter as professional nurse and working in emergency department.
This kind of dream comes to fulfil all kind of opportunities. During my graduation, my
family and friends are joined me, at that time I am feeling so much motivated. This was great
experience to see what I can achieve in future. These was nothing a beautiful memories in my
college (Wei and et.al., 2021). After graduation, I am planning to work with medical
organisation and fulfil my dream as emergency room nurse professional. I am always
understanding that how I can secure my job for while it will help me to find best opportunity
what I like, what I want to do long-term success or achievement.

Role analysis
On the basis of analysis, it has been identified the challenges in nursing professionals which
have already existed since starting of field. A major challenge can be happened due to the
social disparities and faced by nurses in terms of day staff management (King and et.al.,
2021). From past years, the significant challenge contribute to evolve in present scenario.
Nowadays, nurses have been gained a more respect in the society. This is why because of
difficult time, emergency room nurses are performed an important role and provide the best
quality of facilities to the individual’s.
In 1800, Based on the nursing act it should be focused on the women’s who are taking care of
his or her family. The primary vision is to provide better health care facilities. In the context
of nursing professions, everyone can gain opportunity and find the best possible solutions.
During Crimean war, the main role of government is assigned a specific nurse in the
emergency department. Despite the complex challenges or problems related to the nightingale
team. Therefore, the entire western people have believed on the value of nursing.
In 20th century, it has been identified the challenges for nurse when they are moved to the
hospital culture or environment. With this approach, it may be identified inconsistent in care
quality and everything depended on medical staff members (Morris and et.al., 2021). As time
goes, it will be developing more standards that were put in the specific place or area.
Furthermore, the evaluation of modern technology it has been started to improve significant
role of nursing profession and also organising the different programs which can easily replace
training session of hospitals. In 1970s, Different universities are focused on offering a
nursing program and focused on the science & research area.
On the other hand, the nursing professional challenges are related to the ethics, age,
communities and backgrounds. Challenges are long working hours. In this way, it is difficult
to manage physical, social and emotions (Challenges in nursing, 2022). Long hours are
considered the most common challenge in terms of nursing profession. It should be
considered as demanding schedule such as 24/7 hours. Due to challenge, many nurses are
feeling drained and also affecting on both physical and mental condition (Challenge faced by
nursing professionals, 2022). Aside from challenge related long working hours, another most
common challenge is related physical demanding job in the emergency room (Wang, Chen
and Juan, 2021). All kind of procedure is related to examine injuries level and other chronic
condition. This kind of major responsibility was performed by emergency room nurses those

are mainly focused on the critical condition of patient. As awareness of challenges, it is
important to understand the significant impact of individual’s and identify the best way to
provide best quality of self-care.

Description
The significant role of nursing manager is to establish a strong coordination, collaboration
and communication with other staff members such as supervisor, ward-boy and so on. In
the emergency room, nurses are ready to provide 24 hour health care services. In some
cases, it is depending on the size, facility and nurses can easily control emergency
department.
Role and responsibilities
 To participate into different medical formulation procedure, identify specific
objectives or foals for nursing department. Therefore, it can be managed and
controlled the process of hospitals.
 To handle the assign and allotment of specific tasks to other staff members. It helps
to establish a strong coordination with multiple wards, units in terms of planning.
This is depending on the qualification, experience and suitability.
 Responsible for identifying the specific care for patients and giving indoor, outdoor
treatment.
 Prepare or calculate statistics and establish a coordination with staff members
whose specific duties are related to the nursing profession.
 Conducting an advisory rounds of multiple departments on daily basis and ensure

Reflection
In order to share personal experience and skill in the context of nursing profession. I have
shared my skills that would be required for nursing staff members. It including
communication skill. This kind of skill is suitable for nursing profession, I have a good
communication and interaction ability share right information to the patient during treatment
(Sanders, Malcolmson and Kelly, 2022). According to me, it is important for me to identify
the specific need or requirement for patient. Sometimes, I believed that a good
communication is always helping to express my feelings and easily interact with critical
patients. Usually, I am already aware about the demand of individuals, and listening or
understanding their body’s language. Based on the personal experience, I have shared the
brief information or data with patient’s family.
Team player is another important skill which play an important role in terms of nursing
profession. I have tried to establish a good interaction with colleagues, staff members. Being
a nurse, it is important aspect to work within team and interacting with doctors. Sometimes, it
goes without anything, it is good for everyone to collaborate with people and participate as
player (Vázquez-Calatayud, Errasti-Ibarrondo and Choperena, 2021). This kind of skill I
have, but I needs to be improved on the basis of experiences. I am ensured that is always need
to be updated with relevant nursing skills and include in CV. On the other hand, another
skills are related to facility management in order to estimate or calculate specific demand
such as number of beds. This kind of thing can be possible while gaining more experience,
and starts working with different people.
During internship training, I have been working with specialist medical professionals and
coordinate with senior colleagues. This was a great opportunity for me to learn something
because in future, it helps me to easily adopt the culture or environment at hospitals. In my
personal experience, I have a good communication skill but I also focused on the
improvement of team work skill. This kind of skill can be improved through practice or
experience.

A professional development plan is based on the approach in order to clear, achieve a
desirable goals of nursing professional to meet individual’s requirements. By using PDP, it is
focused on the structured method and aligned with nursing professions (Specchia and et.al.,
2021). It provide the better opportunity for acknowledge of nurses strengths and also
accomplishing a future growth or development (Framework for Nursing, 2021). A personal
