1NURSING The use of informatics in the healthcare sector deals with the use of the information technology for the sake of documentation along with the assessment of the details of the patient. The primary objective of the informatics is to obtain a high quality treatment of the patient and the positive outcome of health. The use of the electronic literature search was conducted using the databases like COCHRANE, Medline, PubMed, BioMed and the keywords like informatics in healthcare. The change in the keywords often helps to improve the process. When the Boolean operators and the alternative key words forms an important component of the informatics in healthcare. The modern medicine often requires the medical professionals to be aware of the new developments along with the new procedures and new medications. Through the use of the various databases which help the hospitals to track the patients’ past records in a better way which can be addressed immediately in the future. The medical software along with the record keeping programs that helps to keep the record more accurate and the detailed records of the patients (Lorenzi & Riley, 2013). The use of health informatics provides important data which helps to prevent the errors like the use of the electronic record which can provide the information about the dangerous medication interactions or the allergy which might not be apparent immediately.
