In today’s competitive business world, the roles of management and leadership
generate a great importance within an organisation. Leadership is about an individual’s
ability to motivate, influence and enable everyone for contributing towards the success and
effectiveness of companies. While, management is compromising controlling and directing
groups or entities with the purpose of harmonize and coordinate them towards a goal
accomplishment. Leadership plays a role of facilitating decision-making whereas
management is involved at the time of making decision (Bridges, 2019). There is a time when
even managers play the role of leaders based on demand of the company which shows their
complementary role for its survival and growth. Leadership consists of inspiring individuals

to direct and control every other person to accomplish the goals of the company. In case of
being a nurse manager, providing link between a “healthcare facility’s administrative vision
and its patient care” to individuals is observed while communicating closely from physicians,
nurses, and other facility professionals of healthcare (Ghiasipour, Mosadeghrad, Arab, &
Jaafaripooyan, 2017). Thus, leading is mentioned as a person’s appearance while managing is
