INTRODUCTION
Safety and health management is one of the essential components that contribute in the
company's growth and profitability as it allows the company to formulate and implement specific
measures that can help the company to reduce the risks associate with health and safety of the
individuals working in the company (Bochkovskyi,2018). The report highlights upon the
tragedies that have incurred in Adventa due to lack of attention on the safety policies and
illustrates the accidents that occur at the workplace. It also details about the accidents prevention
plans and the integration approach to the maintenance of health and safety in an organisation.
TASK 1
Health and Safety committee
The formation of safety and health committee is essential and significant although they
provide consultation as well as cooperation within the relationship of employers , workers and
management. Every organisation whose population are more than forty has adopted a policy
which is establishment of Safety and Health Committees. In this policy the four heads are choose
who are supervisor and they are responsible for the causes and out comes of this committee. It
shall consist of four titled designations which are a chairman, a secretory, representatives of
employers and representatives of employees. The collaboration of this relationship beneficial in
developing and implementing new strategies and plans in order to promote productivity and can
improve performances. In Adventa, the safety committees may affect positive impacts on the
firm or organisation it is because they provide a opportunities to better understand the front line
workers as to discuss safety measure concern. As there are so many incidents have been
observed in a organisation such as slips, sudden death etc. There are number of elements which
are considered as essential element in the establishment of safety committees. Some elements are
discussed in this following report. The core elements that should be given consideration are
simple as well as complex at certain chances. First element of safety committees is management
should be structured in a way that should representable and the involvement of management is
compulsory (Bochkovskyi,2018). As this policy is also associated with teamwork policy.
According to the studies, the firm or organisation can work and attain suitable desired goal until
and unless whole people within the organisation determined. Conducting regular meetings can be
considered as element which can help organisation in other ways also. The major two factor can

understand of roles can be fairly cleared by this strategy.
Importance of forming
Well in Adventa, the aim and objective should be crystal clear to each member of
organisation. Prioritizing topic and making goals can be beneficial and develop the discussion

by common election and should know on which side majority leans on. So at least one member
should be elected from each and every department. The organisation should develop a particular
and specific agenda and that should constant and should be followed. Occupational Safety And
Health Act (OSHA) is act which determined further provisions for security and measure
concerns which may predicted before. Safety, health and welfare of a persons at workplace and
for protection of others in opposite of risk to safety or health in way long relationship and
connection with the activities of person at work place. There are few health and safety policy are
prioritized and they are as follows
The employers are directly and indirectly responsible in development of safety and health
statements which are concluded in a policy. Hence the employees are free to choose their policy
statements depends on the necessities and concern of an individual employees. There are no Pre -
statement introduced by firm. According to the right , it is determined that a person who is

organisation able to know their employers basic concerns and their needs. The statements of
policy perhaps can be revised on periodic terms. The health and safety measures for each and
every person is determined as similar and hence sometimes it can be represented in a revised
form but according to the Maslow's model, the needs of a person is endless till the self
satisfaction is not achieved so it is responsibility of a firm to fulfil all basic needs which comes
under the heath and safety concerns. Furthermore, the content of safety and health policy has to
be conveyed to each members of organisation and it should be displayed on boards where it is
noticeable in all conditions. There are responsibilities of employers is to provide safety briefing
other members such as vendors in order to prevent safety risks to them.

Another specific and significant functions which is determined under this policy is carrying out
some particular studies which are on the trend of accident, dangerous or any kind of occupational
disease which may occur at the place of works and that can be report to the employers of any
specific unsafe or can be determined as unhealthy condition or practitioners at the place of work
where they work together daily with the guidance of corrective action. The inspection of place of
work should be inspected at least once in three months which is termed as mandatory. The
measures such as remedial measures should be taken out (Joshi,2018) . If any matter pre judicial
to the safety and health of an individual at place of work. The committee should conduct several
meetings which can be not less in a month in order to listen new grieve if anyone who is
suffering from the outcomes. As there are heath concerns as well. Health concerns are
determined as the workers or employees perform their work in the hazards and strong chemical
so that they can suffer with physical and the smell of chemicals can also affect them. It can lead
them cardiovascular diseases, asthma as well as other associated diseases. The team of health and
safety are considered as serious and they provide structure to any firm or organisation.

It is necessary to take precaution whether it is workplace , road or home. Well this is
considered as the last factor which a person have deal in the establishment of any business. In
order to prevent the accident general awareness as well as understanding of safety risks while
environment of work. The workplace is considered as present a number of challenges for owners
and developers. In order to prevent medical issues incident there are some safety measures which
are mention from which it can be prevented, by promoting safety awareness as well as providing
education or any catalogue which demonstrate general security measures that can be effective.
The installation of proper lights and further amenities can reduce of incidents such as slips,
electrical shocks etc. As the workforce is a root of any organisation and to sustain the roots there

The communication in regards with term of safety can be prove as helpful. In order to
overcome with this threat Adevnta adopted a policy in which identification hazard places are
observed and detected as well as its potential risk is also developed like toxic materials, spills
etc. The significant factors which are observed in Adventa are medical cost for injured people. In
this following policy, if a person is injured and dead due to incident the cost of grieve must be
given by the organisation or firm in which a person is working with. The policy follows with
granting leaves which can be termed as medical or sick leaves. In this following area the
employees are free to seek leave and can take rest until and unless recovery occur, the leaves
should be paid, there will be deduction in the amount. Moreover, employees are free to do extra
work if they are wish to. The incentive will be provided for each members who are wiling to do
over time. There will be no pressure if someone do not want to do. Hence, due to sudden incident
in a workplace it believe to be shocking for each and everyone. In order to prevent it, whole
employees should be alert and pre ready for any incident which may can occur and proper
security measures should be provided in organisation such as fire extinguishers, first-aid etc. The
ambulance contact number should be placed on a board so that it can noticeable to all as well as
it can beneficial to all.
As there are few more elements which are overviewed in this following report. There are
various cost elements associated with the occurrence of an accident in Adventa such as medical
expenditure related to the medication of injured workforce employee, leaves relating to the
medical issues of the employees, cost pertaining to the overtime or replacement of the employees
etc. The organisation needs to bear the cost related with the accidents at the workplace as the
company becomes liable for the same(Dai and Zhou, 2018). These costs effect the productivity
of organisation in the long run as well as also lead to bad goodwill of the company in the market
environment. The government bodies may also intervene due to the reports of frequent tragedies
in the company which turn my lead to interruptions in the functioning of the same. The employee
motivation to provide their best potential and performance also gets decreased due to frequent
accidents. The employees willingness to initiate activities also get affected as they become
scared to be part of the operations of the company due to the safety and health concerns. The

company can also face the risk associated with the decrease in the retention of the loyal
customers. Customers would not like to be a part of the organisation wherein the management is
inconsiderate about the health and safety measures(Kaassis and Badri, 2018). Adventa may also
suffer from the loss of the talented workforce as the employees would want to deliver their
services in a company where their safety is treated as the major concern and effective measures
are taken into consideration so as to improve the standard of health and safety in the company.

From the above analysed information, it can be concluded that it is vital for Adventa to
monitor the tendencies of the accidents occurring in the respective company. In order to run its
operations and management peacefully and without any disruptions, the company is required to
be more focused towards developing the strategies and plans that can provide assistance to the
same in ensuring the safety of the employees working in the organisation. The company needs to
have an effective health and safety plan so as to facilitate in the reduction and elimination of the
accidents and tragedies in the company.
