Project management is the process of leading work of team
for achievement of desired project goals and objectives
within given constraints (Tereso & et. al., 2019).
This presentation will lay emphasis upon development of a
project of OCTOPUS ENERGY. Octopus Energy is a British
renewable energy group that specializes in sustainable
energy.
It was founded in 2015 who’s main headquarter is in
London, UK. This Project of Octopus Energy will focus on
creating a social media marketing strategy to develop the
business and expanding the customers for the company.
This presentation will further define project, its
characteristics, project manager role, application of the
theoretical frameworks and methodologies within project
environment, critical evaluate the composition and
management of teams in a project environment.

Project, its characteristics and role of
project manager
They will be focusing upon creating and posting visual content about their achievements,
recent expansion in business, new products and services launched by them etc. on social
networking websites.
They will be creating visual content for spreading their message and reaching their target
customers (Li, F., Larimo & Leonidou, 2021).
Moreover, Octopus Energy can develop and post video content of their achievement,
products and services for on every social media platform in order to gain attention of
target customers.
Using tools like Google Analytics engagement of target customers on different social
networking sites will be monitored so that organization can identify on which website is
mostly used by customers so that thy can enhance their activity on their website. It will
further help Octopus Energy to understand on which platform they need to enhance their
presence by identifying social media platform which is mostly used by customers.

Some of the main characteristics of this project are:
Objective- to develop social media strategy to enhance customer base and expand
business
Time period- this project will be completed within 6 month time period. This time
period will be used by organization to enhance their presence on social media websites,
analysing engagement of customers on different social media platforms and based on
this analysis reports marketing strategy on social media can be updated.
Funds required- overall funds required for this project are £50,000.
Resources required- account on social networking sites, internet connection, google
analytics, financial resources, human resources.
Risk and uncertainties: security breaches, leaks of intellectual property, violation of
firm’s policy and code of conduct.
Participation- All the business organizations using social media accounts.
