2OPERATIONAL MANAGEMENT PLAN Part A: Operational plan: Operational plans are an exceptional tool for a corporate company to actively perform all the strategic tasks successfully and at the same time generate revenues that will provide financialand operational stability to the corporate entity. Now operational plans can be defined as the detailed plan that depicts the clear picture of how exactly a particular organizational team is supposed to function and each and every department within the organization will contribute to the achievement of the strategic goals set by that team (Wheelen and Hunger 2011). This operational plan focuses on a coffee bar explaining the strategic tasks needed to be undertaken, identifying the stakeholders responsible for each of the tasks, timeframe set for each of tasks and budget allocation of the tasks for the opening of the Sunrise café. The reference of the Starbucks café can be used as an example for the deciding upon the operational plan.Market analysis and business profile: The aims and objectives set out for the operational plan for the Sunrise café includes revenue or profit generation from the very first month, becoming the best coffee bar in the area and be able to maintain at least 65% gross margin. The key performance indicators decided for this operational plan are suitable environment created in the café that helps the consumers be comfortable and have a social interaction. The target market analysis is extremely important for any corporate venture to succeed in the dynamic economy (Lee-Ross and Lashley 2010). The café will emphasize on the espresso coffee market, target population for this project will be the middle class individuals. As the coffee shop is just starting its business in the area hence, the estimates sales are expected to rise three times of the current sales within the three-month period selected for this operational plan to be materialized and effective.

3OPERATIONAL MANAGEMENT PLAN Financial management and promotional strategies: For a startup café to retain financial viability it is very important to maintain a steady sales growth and cost management. In this case this café will have various sources of food supplies and have negotiated volume discounts from the different suppliers. Along with that to monitor the economic performance of the cafe, the resource usage will be optimized during the off peak hours. The time frame opted for the operational plan to be successfully implemented completelyand effective is selected between 3 to 12 months. However, as the design and the location of the store will be profound decisive factors behind the success the café can achieve within the introductory period, active promotional plan will be implemented to ensure maximal customer attraction such as social media, print media and television based advertising (Hackley and Hackley 2017).Background and business history: This particular café business has been running for a year where it had attempted steady growth by appointing 3 additional; jobs to ensure that the café continued to service existing and new customers. Elaborating on the past corporate history, it has to be mentioned in this context that the revenue statistics have been increasing more or less, although the work turnaround has also slowed down sufficiently due to extreme workload in the administrative team.
