INTRODUCTION
In today’s competitive business environment, every company wants to expand in
different countries. In this globalisation has also played a significant role in increasing global
trade among companies. With expansion an organisation operation is majorly affected. This is
because they have to change their way of operations according to market conditions of country.
So, various strategies are developed to minimise impact. This assignment will throw light on
challenges faced by operational manager in globalisation strategy. Also, it will describe about the
roles required in managing operations. Beside this, a strategy will be outlined which shows how
values are been met. The organisation selected is Vauxhall.
TASK 1
Challenges faced by operational manager in globalisation strategy in Australia
Globalisation is a process of integration and interaction among the people, governments
and companies in Australia. It is driven process to reduce the barriers and advancement of
technology in the transportation and many more. In order to trade globally it is important to
develop a proper strategy so that goals are attained in effective way (Cortés, Rodríguez and
Franco, 2019). Thus, Vauxhall have chosen Australia to expand their business. They have
identified potential opportunities for growth to operate there. But there are many types of
challenges which are
 It is the responsibility of operation manager to analyse market conditions of Australia.
This enables in finding out factors that will have a negative impact on operations of
company. Therefore, if impact is not minimised it results in huge loss.
 Adaptation of globalisation by the operational manager of Vauxhall was slow. It is slowly
globalizing their brand due to highly competition in global marketplace. The attitude of
consumer towards the country become sensitive problem related the product and services
of Australia. The consumer expectation has been changed over the recent year now many
customer demand variety of product and services. It helps the consumer to satisfy their
need and requirement.
 Global sourcing is created the biggest skill for an enterprise as they have access the skills
which may not able top the availability in local areas and places. Operation management
is used the modern information technology to increase the business process all over the
world. It is also part of globalisation strategies but IT revolution is the advancement of

technical to create breakdown the other fields such as sustainable green technology etc.
Operational manager is applied this technique in the Vauxhall company to implement
new ideas but it is only applicable in the technical aspects.
 The operational manager is faced the challenges in the globalization strategy such as
political economy. It is new phase in the international market to maintain the relationship
between the other nation (Heldman, 2018). There are different emergent factors such as
social political, information, advancement of technology and transportation etc. These are
factors that affect the economy to minimise the formulation of strategies that applied in
the organization. In this way, it will increase the threats and risks in the communities or
exploits the cheap labour in the Australia
 Globalisation strategies are used for addressing all the problem and issues that would
expose the competition, continuous presses to increase productivity, improve the quality
of product and enhance customer services. Other possible effect the globalisation strategy
on Vauxhall and impacting on the closure of inefficient units and industrial expansion
which increases the job losses or problem dealing with the uncertainty in the global
market in the terms of supply chain, price and demand by suing globalisation strategy.
TASK 2
Identify and analyse new operational role that needed in Australia
A project management is a person that who has more responsibility for increasing the
business operations and functions. It is planning, controlling, execution, monitoring and closure
of project. In Australia, manager plays important role in the business process to identify the
basic need and requirement of enterprise. The precise task of manager depend on the size of
business and nature. There are different type of role played in the Vauxhall which needed in the
Australian business. Risk analysis- Project manager plays important role in Australia to identify and manage
the potential problem that could underline in the business process. During the stage of
every business that might occur is analysed and investigated in the relation. Manager is
performed different role at various level to identify or handle the risk in different
flavours. It is required for manager to increase the knowledge and putting innovative idea

that impact on the overall objective such as quality, cost, time and time etc. In this way,
manager is easily identified the secondary new risks. Working with vendor- Manager always try to build a good relationship between the
supplier and other stakeholders. Vendor management is important role of manager to
handle any type of condition and situation in proper manner. The key element of
succeeding in the vendor management is to share the details and priorities (Kosztyán and
Szalkai, 2018). Manager always maintain the appropriate vendor practices which
necessary for a business to allows the vendor to provide the best quality of services. In
this way, manager is gain the commitment of vendor that support the business operations
and functions. Strategic influencing- Strategic influencing is the best approach that adapt to manager
and influencing their employee towards their goals and achievements. This role of
manager is significantly impact on the performance and efficiency of organization. In
Australia, Project manager have directly influence or motivate on the employee and also
carry the responsibility for aligning to performance of different worker. In this way,
manager play vital role in reshaping the culture of organisation. Cost Estimating- It is main important role of manager to identify the cost of project and
overall budget. These are important activities that performed by project manager such as
cost estimating, resources planning and cost control etc. Being able to calculate the
accurate cost and deliver the accurate project plan (Kumar Mookerjee and Shubham,
2018). Manager is utilized the estimating technique to identify the scope and develop
approximate process of resources that needed for operations and functions. Controlling Quality- The manager is control the quality of product and service to meet
the requirement of specific project. It is an essential for project management because it
provides the surety within the scope of project and planning. Project manager is
maintained the standards of project to plan the strategies for influencing the cost and
scheduling. In this way, it helps for reducing the risk in the quality of product and
service.

a) Globalization Strategy adopted to ensure Vauxhall values
Globalisation strategies are adopted the vauxhull values because this strategy
continuously influence and motivate the economies, enhance the communication and also
increase the mobility that allow connecting with the financial market. In this way, Vauxhall
expand the business all over the world. It is the successful expansion of new foreign market and
their demand whereas the organization is adopting the international enterprise strategies which is
the fit according the need and requirement (Louis and Dunston, 2018). In Australia, The business
involves for dealing with the consumers, employees and foreign stakeholders etc. these are
important factor that conducting to increase the demand of resource and strategy. There are
different type of business model used for implementing the strategies in business development.
Ansoff Matrix-
The Ansoff matrix is basically focused towards the current potential product and service of
organization. It is to be considered the best ways to increase the demand of existing product in
marketplace. There are four different type of possible product market combinations.

 Market Penetration- This type of strategy is risky for vauxhull firm because it gives
more leverage to the organization for used the existing resources and capability. In
Australia, It is needed for maintain the market value and share that support to increase the
growth.
1. Market development- It includes the additional market segments and the geographical
regions. The development of new market may requires good strategy for vauxhull that
beneficial for expanding new market (Papachristos and et.al., 2018).
 Product development- This strategy is appropriate for the vauxhull to increase the
strength of employee to provide the best quality of product and service. It can leverage to
strength for developing new product and target to the existing consumer in marketplace. Diversification- Diversification is the reasonable choice because if the risk is high by
chance return the high risk. It also includes the potential gain in the organization to
decrease the overall business risk in vauxhull.
Pestle-
Pestle is basically the marketing concept that used for organization to track all the environment
conditions. It is based on the tool and framework used by the marketer to analyse the macro
environmental factor that impact on the organisation.
 Political- This factor includes political stability, government policy, tax policy, trade
restrictions and environmental laws etc. These are important factors that impact on the
organization. Vauxhall is needed to respond their current and future legislation that help
for adjusting the market policy according to the market value.

is directly effect the marketer to understand the need of customers. Technological- This factor has been changed the entire business operations and
functions. It impacts on the product and service. It involves the new ways of producing,
distributing the good or services in marketplace (Pheng, 2018). Environmental- This factor is increasing the population target, sustainability of firm and
target to the governments. In Vauxhall, more and more customers demanding to the new
product in marketplace. Legal- This factor includes the advertising standards, health of safety and customers
equal rights. It is needed for organisation to know about the legal factor to maintain their
business process in proper manner.
Porters
Porter's five force is a tool for analysing the competition of business in marketplace. Supplier Power- In Vauxhall, The suppliers is to drive up the prices. Every supplier has
given essential input of their product and service. Buyer Power- The buyer is to drive the prices down because each individual buyer in the
organization to switch another supplier due to the cost and prices. Competitive rivalry- This is the main driver to maintain the capability of competitors in
the global marketplace. Many competitors are offered various type of product and service
to customer. Threat of substitution- In the market, there is close substitute product present in market
to increase the demand of customers. They have switched to alternatives in response to
increase the price. Threat of new entry- The profitable market attracts to the new entrants which increases
the profitability.

Hill methodology
Hill method is basically the apportionment assigns by finding the divisors like constituency
priority quotients. It is also known as slightly rounded process that applicable in the geometric
means to place the additional seats.
The formula :
D= Population of Australia / Number of house seat
find the quota = state population / D for every seat
As compare to the state Quota in terms of geometric n and n+1

Vauxhall is the UK based organization to provide the auto mobile parts related the card.
It also produced the world first sports car. This organization is planning an effective strategy for
project plans to execute the operations and functions (Rangarajan and et.al., 2018).

CONCLUSION
As per discussion, it concluded that There are various challenges faced by the operational
manager in the Vauxhall firm at the initial level and also moves towards the globalisation
strategies. It also discussed about to identify the new operational management role which needed
in the Australia. At last, It discusses the strategy that adopted to meet the need and requirement
of organization or create project plan.
