INTRODUCTIONIn every company operation and project management plays an essential role in theirbusiness. Operation management is refers as an ongoing chain of activity which enables increating and improving product or services so that organisation can increase their product line inan appropriate manner (Anderson, Anderson and Parker, 2013). Project management is autilisation of knowledge, experiences and so on for accomplishing the objective of particularproject. For this report the chosen organisation is Hotpoint which a American and Europeanbrands of home appliances. Its headquarters is in Peterborough, Cambridgeshire, UnitedKingdom. The purpose of this report is to explain the various principles of operationmanagement and also their strategy for continuous development as per the operations andcompany. Application of project life cycle into project and effectiveness of PLC by using propertheories, concepts and models are also mentioned in his report.TASK 1P1. Implementation of operation management principlesOperation management is important concept in the growth of firm as well as for obtainingexpected results after in accomplishment of task. Implementation of operation managementincludes operation and manufacturing process which drives data and control system whichpermit firm to develop as well as plan business strategies. So, some of the operation managementprinciple that are used by Hotpoint in order to implement strategy are mentioned below:Reality: This principles states that firm have to focus on problems rather than methods aswell as techniques because there is not such tools that is suitable for whole solution. Afteranalysing all problems and clients needs Hotpoint concentrate to launch a new product inmarket and segmentation are to be performed according to customer choices.Accountability: This principles involve few regulations as well as concepts which aremade by higher authorities. It is useful to states problems to their employees and regularmonitor that target meets the organisational goals (Dasari, Jigeesh and Prabhukumar,2015). As per the given scenario, it act for the workers benefits as well as performeffectively. In Hotpoint, higher authorities does not allot proper work and responsibilitiesthat hinder their self-interest. Herein they are fail to perform effectually for organisationalgrowth.

Approaches of Operation management:Six Sigma:This is considered as a multidisciplinary, continuous approaches that assists in obviatingdefects at the time of manufacturing products or services. It was introduced by Bill Smith in year1980 and is related to continuous improvement in the methods of production. This is helpHotpoint to solve issues, reduce errors and decrease the cost of operation (Edwards and Bowen,2013). So, six sigma tool which is applied by respective firm is DMAIC that are explainedbelow:Define: Herein, issues are described clearly to obviate the disadvantage as well aseffectualness can be accomplished in organisational growth. At this stage, plan and scopeof project are to be explained broadly. Through this Hotpoint can know about theproblems relate to products or services. Measures: Herein, Hotpoint assembles the current position of scenario as well as create aplan according to that. By developing process of mapping and collected plans.Analyse: herein, factors are find out that are responsible and reasons of defects. InScenario, factors aids to examine information root cause in order to accomplish goodresults. So, through this Hotpoint can have knowledge regarding problems as well as theirsolution.Improve: Herein, firm find out the root cause of problems and disciplinary measure canbe performed to identify the solutions. So, problems can be solved by getting suitablesolution and way of failure where solution are fail then proper improvements are adaptedin Hotpoint.Control: Herein, proper evaluation is performed by examining the results as well asaccordingly control action that are taken to determine variations. Hotpoint managerassess the needs and demands of clients according to their plan to launch new productthat is Television of 58 inches in marketplace.Lean Production:This is refers as chain of activity which aids in reducing defects in order to develop thefirm's level of performance. It provides a important contribution in minimising wastage andfacilitates qualitative products or services for enhancing product line and profit (Fan and et.al.,2014).
