management.
The continuous improvement plan in order to improve the operation of the business
mainly includes various objectives like use of advanced technology, improving the quality of the
product, consistency in reducing wastage and cost, improved working environment and
improved innovation. This can be effectively improved with the help of Kaizen approach as it
helps in continuous improvement and is very useful in making radical changes in order achieve
transformation in a systematic and appropriate manner. The Kaizen principle is based on quality,
productivity ad maintaining labour relation in order to effectively achieve the aims and objective
of the XYZ company in an appropriate and efficient manner. Re-engineering is an effective
approach as it is useful in effectively creating core business process in order to improve the
quality and output of the business. Re-engineering is a business process which is useful in
determining the strengths and weakness if the company.

operation's manager to bring continuous improvement so that the quality of products and services
are improved and the level of customer satisfaction is also raised. Here are the principles of
operations management which could be used XYZ company are as follows-
Principle of Reality- According to this principle, there is not universal solution of any
problem. Operation manager should use lean, total quality management, theory of constraints
and other tools or techniques that solve the problems quickly but according to this principle it is
very important to understand the real issues or root cause of the problem rather than directly
implementing these tools (McKettaJr, 2017). For example, When stock is growing out of control
than managers use lean but it is very essential that manager should know the actual cause of
stock out.
Principles of Accountability- According to this principle, it is very important to divide
the roles and responsibilities in a designated manner as well as accountability should also be
assigned. This is because, employees usually do not put efforts into that for which they are not
held answerable. So, operation manager should establish accountability, authority, responsibility

processes which focuses in fast delivery (Hildebrand, 2015). However, with the use of this
model, it could improve the efficiency in team work, effective communication as well as
enhancement is speed of development of stadium and LED screens.
Kanban Methodology- This is another philosophy of project management that could
considered by the project manager of XYZ company. The main purpose of using Kanban
methodology is that it directly increases the speed and quality of LED screens and Stadium
screens as well as time of delivery. As per this methodology, things can be done in very effective
and systematic manner if focus is to be on one task and limiting multi tasking activities. The key
activities in this Kanban are confining as well as restricting excess work in progress, evaluating
lead time, visualization of workflow, developing a clear policy of process and a system of
continuous valuation of performances of various teams in XYZ firm (Wang, Wang and Yang,
2018).
WORK BREAKDOWN STRUCTURE:
In project management, it is very important to divide the work in very systematic and
authentic manner so that mismanagement of work could be avoided. It is the duty of project
manager to design all the task in very designated way to each members. The work break down
structure of XYZ company is hierarchical in nature that states that roles and responsibilities of
each member at each level.

lean participles is not costly affairs as it saves cost of production. It also saves time by
maintaining lean human resources in the organisation. Further the monitoring is also very easy
and effective in implementing lean approach in operation management. The best advantage of
lean principle is that it improves the customer relationship management within organisation, But
Ko and Han, (2017) said that, lean principles sometimes creates negative perception by staff
because it might be happen that workers are over frustrated. This usually happen when
organisation put extra large efforts on quality and performance it creates over burden on the staff
members. In addition top this, it has been also noticed that delivery of products is also delayed
and sometime missed.
In addition to this, project management usually faced some challenges in implementing theories
and models (Kanban and Scrum) which are as follows-
Outdates kanaban board Act hindrance in the process of new product
development.
Complexities is arisen by using this theory in the operations.
Time frame is not considered in this theory which is the major drawback of this
theory.
But still it is very effective for the company as author said that using Kanban model increases the
level of flexibility in the process of manufacturing (Kimoto, 2016). The time of delivery of
product is also quick by using this process. The time of production is also reduced by minimizing
the waste.
These models are very useful in evaluating and measuring the performance of the
company in order to attain set goals and objectives in an efficient and appropriate manner. It act
as a key performance indicator, deliverables, benchmarks, milestone and targets.
Kaizen : Kaizen approach helps in continuous improvement of the particular product,
services and business process. This approach is very useful in making radical changes in order
achieve transformation in a systematic and appropriate manner. The Kaizen principle is based on
quality, productivity ad maintaining labour relation in order to effectively achieve the aims and
objective of the company in an appropriate and efficient manner.
Six Sigma approach: This approach which is effectively used by the organization in
turn leads to high operational growth and sustainability of the business with the help of

Total Quality management: This approach is useful in improving the quality of the
goods and services with the help of continuous innovation and benchmarking the quality. This
approach is useful in detecting errors and effectively streamlining the supply chain management.
Lean management: this approach is useful in creating huge improvements in the
efficiency, scraps, productivity, cost of materials and cycle time leading to lower costs as well as
improved competitiveness. This in turn helps in improving the efficiency and quality of the
particular products and services.
CONCLUSION
The above report comes to the conclusion that operation management should be very
effective and efficient within organisation because it directly aims at achieving goals and
objectives of firm. Further, the practices of initiating, planing, executing, controlling as well as
closing the work of a team in order to achieve specific goals in time is also very important for
effective project management. In addition to this, the application of Six Sigma and lean
principles was also included in this report that helps in creating the products very effective as
well as to it also improved the quality of new products. On the other hand, Kanban and Scrum
methodologies of project management was also applied for managing the new product
development in very effective manner.
