This report discusses different theories of organisational communication, types of barriers and strategies to overcome them for Brit-Tech. The report includes Weber's classic organisational theory of fixed structure, Deetz's Managerialism Theory and Tompkins and Cheney's organisational control theory. It also analyses different types of barriers such as choice of wrong communication medium, incorrect use of language, emotional barriers and cultural barriers. The report recommends strategies such as proper use of communication channel, communicating only what is necessary, flexibility in meeting targets and use of simple language.
