INTRODUCTION
The human resource deals with human personnel in an organization. The human resource is
vital resource for the development of country. This is because all activities are being handled and
operated by human. So, some good and effective human personnel is essential for the organization
in order to develop it in the competitive market. The increment in the skills of individual would
help to enhance efficiency of human resource in organization (Boyd and Conroy, 2019). In order
to improve the efficiency of human resource, proper and regular training sessions must be
organized by human resource department of organization for its employees. This report has
outlined organization General Electric with respect to its human resource. General Electric is a
power and healthcare industry that is being established in the year 1892. The present report
discusses about the organizational structure and its theories. It also outlines the organizational
strategies and techniques that are being used by the HR department of the company.
Task 1
P1 Evaluate the importance of organisational design theory in the context of organisational
structure and fulfilling organisational strategy, using specific organisational examples.
Introduction to company- The company General Electric deals with the healthcare
facilities and power generation. It was established in 1892. It provides services related to
renewable energy.
Organizational structure- The structure of the organization is build up to achieve organizational
goals. This includes responsibility and roles in a hierarchical way that can be operated in every
organization. The company General Electric has used the operational strategy based on hierarchy.
This provides a clear structure about the organization to management. The chain given in the
hierarchy has to be completed in a certain way as described under policy of the company(Cooke
and Varma, 2020).
Organizational strategy- This is strategy that is being used by organization in order to achieve
goal in specified given time. There is involvement of all employees while operating organizational
strategy. With respect to company General Electric, it has formulated an efficient organizational
strategy would help management to compete with other similar companies in the market. It has
executed various changes in company in order to cope up with problem of Covid 19 with respect
