necessary for the employees. The basic needs of the employees relate with
physical survival and also with the basic requirement of the workers (Lee &
Raschke, 2016).
It is examined that there are five stages in this model that is important to be
considered by the workers as it assists in fulfilling it to boost workers
engagement. The first stage of this model emphasizes on the physiological
needs which is needed for the human survival. It has been examined that if
these needs are not fulfilled then it can impact the motivational factor of the
employees. This need is one of the essential requirements of the employees
in relation to the other needs that can be managed effectively (Van den
Broeck, Ferris, Chang & Rosen, 2016).
Next stage is safety needs in which the emphasis is on elements like
security, order law and also stability is considered by the employees. The
management should emphasize on maintaining the security of the
employees at the work so that they can be motivated and can give their best
towards the allocated work (Chang & Lin, 2017).
Love and belongingness needs is the next stage that focuses on fulfilling the
third level needs of the employees such as social and also involve the
feelings of the belongingness. It has been examined that the need for the
interpersonal behavior helps to motivate the behavior of the employees
(Fallatah & Syed, 2018).
