INTRODUCTIONIn this study we will discuss about the various aspects' of organisation behaviour in TheBritish Broadcasting corporation. There were some serious falling in the BBC's culture and itssystem of communication, management and investigation. We will have an analysis of BBC'sculture and political and power on the behaviour of others in this organisation. We will discussabout how to motivate the company for their employee's to accomplish their goals andobjectives. Further we will discussion on demonstrate how this corporate effective with others.And we will apply the concept of philosophies of organisational behaviour in the BBC's businesssituation.As observed by smith, serious falling in the BBC's culture and its systems byharassment and staff complaints being listed in this firm. Aside from this there have also beencriticism about the pay and gender gap between staff, all these complaints can be removed bycompany's top management with the help of all the activities which we will discuss further inthis study.TASK 1P.1. The influence of culture, political and power on the behaviour of others in the BBCcompanyAccording to Charles Handy's model, there are four type of culture which this BBCorganisation follow, let us understand them in detail below:Culture:In the culture of an organisation, we are having an analysis of BBC's company,which is operating in broadcasting corporation in Britain(Willits, and Nowacki, 2014).Every organisation have its particular culture, according to it they work properly andfollow some rules and regulations at workplace. Further we discuss about this firmculture and the classification of culture according to Handy's culture typology(1986) anddivided in these parts, which involves power, person, task and role.Person culture:An organisation significantly influence by an individual when a personmake its personal decision and thinking about to the various terms of organizationalbehavior and in these contexts they have power to make their own decision in the favor ofthe company(Watson, 2017). If they take any wrong and inappropriate decision towardsthe company. It will directly impact on the work culture and influence the employeebehavior. The top administration of the company need to make some appropriate decision1
to improvement in the culture of BBC's company. As serious falling in the BBC's cultureand its system of communication. The company's all employee always loyal to theirmanagement and think in the favor of the business. They should always remember thatcompany first and after everything comes later.As observed by smith, serious falling inthe BBC's culture and its systems by harassment and staff complaints being listed in thisfirm. Aside from this there have also been criticism about the pay and gender gapbetween staff, all these complaints can be removed by company's top management withget touching personally with the employee in the firm and know about actual scenario ofthe working culture within BBC.1.Role culture:In the role culture wherein a specific person in an organisation also cancreate a big influence in the firm by performing its role and responsibilities in thecompany(Watson, 2013). In the firm the role culture of every individual employee in thefirm depend on the rules that are prepared by the top manager in the firm in order toperform role and responsibilities by each individual employee in the company have toperform their his specialization, education qualification and interest to the best outcomesof the business. In the BBC company have top role and rules which is controlled by itssuperior authority. Everyone has a specific role and responsibilities, which is strictlyfollowed by every employee in the firm in terms of accomplish the BBC's company goalsand objectives. Serious falling of the culture in this firm, its authority need to follow theirroles and responsibilities appropriately and also give instruction to every employee in thefirm to do their job properly in the firm. Power comes with culture in such a workculture.As observed by smith, serious falling in the BBC's culture and its systems byharassment and staff complaints being listed in this firm(Suppiah, and Singh Sandhu,2011). Aside from this there have also been criticism about the pay and gender gapbetween staff, all these complaints can be removed by company's top management by lettheir employee know their importance of roles and responsibilities and how their workplay a critical role in the business, will help to let the all employee understand their rolesand obligation in the firm towards accomplishing goals and objectives of BBC's firm.Power culture:In the power culture, where power in centralized in few hands like topmanagers in the BBC company(Solomon, Russell-Bennett, and Previte, 2012).
