management. The current report will be based on Hays travel company, which offers one of the
best customer service and holiday packages for the customers.
The report will explain theories of organization, barriers which prevents people from
booking holidays abroad and implemented strategies for reducing for overcoming these barriers.

Organizational communication is a wide area which is applicable in all types of
businesses and it is beneficial in effectively managing the daily activities of the business. There
are different theories which may explain the different methods which are used by various
organizations to increase their productivity in the business. The bureaucracy theory is a formal
type of communication structure which is ideal for an organization to introduce a hierarchical
structure of communication in their business environment (Barbour, Gill and Barge, 2018). This
structure may be useful for an o0rganization to organize their communication where the
employees may report to their superiors and increase their efficiency to manage their work
appropriately. It may provide the businesses to have a control over their workers by having a
chain of command in their organizational structure.
The acceptance theory of authority suggests the three important function which are
important for organizations such as communication, maintenance of feelings of self respect and
coerciveness in formal organizations. It may help in establishing effective channels for
communication in the organization which may be helpful for the employees and the management
can be useful in improving the decision making process. The communication theory is beneficial
for the businesses for establishing short and direct lines of communication in their business
environment and improve the sustainability of the business. These effective channels are useful
to provide a better experience for the business to increase their popularity and gain success in the

company as well. With lack of information about sources people are unable to make their
decisions as the clear communication resolves the issues more clearly.
Culture barrier -
People were not clear about the knowledge of culture and rules and policy for booking in
other countries. Lack of culture knowledge prevented them for making booking abroad (Marsen,
2020). The situation was not able to meet the booking requirement of people and also they didn't
have ideas about the protocols are being followed in other countries which created the issues for
them in understanding and managing the situations.
Physical barriers -
This barrier distracts the flow of effective communication among people, it is human
made and natural. At the time of pandemic it forms the drastic challenges for Hays Travel as
people were not considering moving out to travel from one country to another. People were more
concerned about their hygiene and safety purpose, and they believe in restriction for not going
iout and maintaining the social distance for personal safety.
Emotional barriers -
In the situation of pandemic people were not allow travelling outside due to the following
restrictions for their safety purposes. This made them nervous about unable to travel from

where they live. Whereas many of them have to cancel their bookings due to arriving of the
