Defining and analysing organisational cultures
The aim of this journal is to define my organization’s culture type and uniqueness as
well as the visible and invisible values. Moreover, I will analyse that how I fit into my
organization work culture effectively through writing this journal.
Using this reflection writing, I will analyse my workplace’s direct as well as indirect
impact on my professional skills development. My workplace is a well-known organization
named Stamford Plaza Sydney Airport (referred as SPSA), a 5-star hotel situated in the area
of Sydney airport as its name suggests. It is a huge hotel property having 315 spacious guest
rooms comprising 11 suite villas (Accom News, 2017).
Being a part of the team at Stamford plaza Sydney airport, my goal is same as my
organization’s goal, to go beyond our guests’ expectations through setting high standards of
services and timely innovating our system to achieve these goals. My organization’s aim is to
serve our guests in a way that they revisit and promote our high class facilities to all of their
friends and families (Stamford, 2018).
Work culture of my workplace is headed to acquiring excellence, because SPSA
uphold market competitive reward packages as well as offer rousing opportunities to each
and every talent in our organisation. SPSA encourage entrepreneurial thinking by bringing
novel techniques and innovation routinely, and its managerial efforts aim to challenge the
status quo. Parental firm of my organization is Stamford Hotels and Resorts, which has a
proud past of providing inbuilt excellence in its services and products (Stamford, 2018). As
my organization always open to experienced hospitality managers and stars throughout all
management positions and I was having quality work experience as well as desired skill set
that seemed a source of benefit for SPSA’s guests, it has become ideal workplace for me.
Moreover, during my long tenure with this organization I realised that SPSA retain, reward
and grow success-oriented as well as work-passionate professionals at every levels of
possibility (Burke, Koyuncu, Wolpin, Yiriks., & Koyuncu, 2015).
During my tenure with SPSA, I got to know its objectives that were reflected from its
some great strategy taglines such as ‘Being a good neighbour’, ‘Looking after our people’,
and ‘Planning for the future’. My organization SPSA had been adopted nice approach to
