As the term itself defines a system composed of values, beliefs and assumptions thatgovern the human behavior in a business entity is known as organizational culture. Everycorporation has its own unique personality like every individual and below are given two culturewhich the company can undertake:Role CultureTask CultureIt is a detailed organizational culture thatadopts long chain of command based on rules. The mangers have clear delegated authoritieswithin highly defined structure. Syngenta canconsider this culture in order to properlymonitor the business activities within definedroles and responsibilities.Task culture is adopted to address and managespecific projects in the company. Differentteams are formed to handle particular projectsand experts are appointed to plan and perform(Yang, Fang and Lin, 2010). As the mentionedcompany deals in manufacturing specificproducts which require skillful knowledge thisculture can be implemented.1.2 Impact of relationship between organization structure and culture on the performance ofbusinessThe company functions smoothly and effectively when its organizational structure andculture is favorable in context of overall environment. Both these concepts when work togetherbetter results can be acquired (Templer, 2012). The impact of these two factors can beunderstood in an organization on the basis of following parameters:i.Decision making: When the company adopts product based organizational structure thedecision making process will be performed separately by different department of variousproducts and task culture will be implemented every product will require expert’s advicein framing policies and procedures. While in geographical structure judgments are madedepending upon the policies and law of that particular region so the decisions needs to betaken by hierarchical bureaucracy as done in role culture.ii.Task processes: It can be assumed clearly that task culture provides right combination ofskills, personalities and leadership in performing assigned work. While, role culture is aconfined system where roles and responsibilities are distinguished already (Edwards andEdwards, 2012.). Here both the organizational structure depends upon the type of cultureadopted by the company as focus is laid on the manner in which the tasks are performed.2
