1ORGANIZATIONAL DEVELOPMENTObjective of the researchThe objective of the research is to gain an understanding of the organizationaldevelopment. The areas that are selected include organizational change, performancemanagement, workplace diversity and performance management in the public sector. Thereport throws light on the understanding of theories as well as principles of organizationaldevelopment in the contemporary business settings along with the nature of organizationalperformance. In addition to this, it also discusses about the external and internal factors thatinfluence the process of organizational development and change. Data collection and analysisAccording to Ikpeze (2015), the data collection and analysis plan of the researchcomprises two different types that are primary and secondary data analysis techniques. Theresearcher has undertaken secondary data analysis technique that is, reviewing the existingjournals, literatures and articles based on organizational development and change. Findings and ImplicationsAs per Miner (2015), organizational development is the field of research, practice andtheory that is dedicated to expand the effectiveness or knowledge of people in order toaccomplish more successful organizational performance and change. The key concepts oforganizational developmental theory in the contemporary business environment compriseorganizational climate, organizational culture and organizational strategies. Moreover,Shockley-Zalabak (2014) suggested some critical points for enhancing the performances ofthe employees. This can be done by initiating the processes of internal change, selfassessment and strategic planning. Enhancing the organizational performance demonstrateshow the organizations cooperate to yield better outcomes.
