Introduction
Group behavior is an essential part of any organization. There are few factors that are
important in an organization. It enables the organization to run smoothly. Those are
motivation, team work, effective interaction between the employees and the individuals those
who are an essential part of the organization. The business in the contemporary world is done
in the global context. It is done globally. It is important to define various roles and the skills,
the function and the structure of the global organizations. It is important to understand the
importance of the self-awareness in an organization. The essay tries to explore the effective
strategies that would be helpful for learning in a variety of work environments. The essay
also discusses the strategies that are necessary in a professional context. The organization that
has been taken into account in this essay is Flight Centre Travel Group (FCTG) ("About
Flight Centre Travel Group", 2018). The organization has realized the fact that their business
is becoming a unified global field as trade barriers fall, the communication barrier becomes
faster and cheaper than before. The taste of the consumer converge in everything. The
business environment is not constant. It keeps on changing. The factors that are responsible
for the development of the business like the political factors, the economic factors, the social
factors, all keep changing while they try to combine with the local business. The essay
includes the fact that team work is the most effective form of work in any organization. In
order to achieve high performance the managers should organize the team within the
organizations and they should be tackled efficiently. Apart from this motivation is the other
factor that is important in an organization. It is important for the managers and the
supervisors to motivate the employees and the team members. The essay discusses the
different forms of rewards that serves as an important and effective tool for motivating the
employees. The essay discusses the intrinsic form of reward system and the extrinsic from of
reward system. The essay further discusses the different theories of motivation.

In order to carry a successful business it is important to form certain concrete
strategies. The strategies include forming effective strategies of advertisement, initiating team
works and managing it efficiently, it further include the marketing strategies that would help
the organization to develop the business and the last strategy would include is the strategy of
motivating the employees and the strategy to interact with others in a professional context.
Importance of self-awareness
This involves the process by which the individuals take the initiative in order to
diagnose their learning needs. They sometimes take the assistance of others in order to do so
and sometimes they does not take the assistance of others. They need the assistance of others
to formulate their learning goals. In this the learner becomes their own teacher (Caldwell &
Hayes, 2016). The self –awareness in the organization would help the organization to have
more dedicated team of employees who would fulfill the aim of the company to grow higher
in a global context. The employees must understand their own strengths and their own
weaknesses in order to make improvements. The managers should understand their own
faults in dealing their teams. There are many managers who show an autocratic behavior
which is not an effective one. The managers must employ the method of transformational
leadership. The leaders must realize this on their own. This would make things easier for the
organization (Mackenzie, Golembiewski & Rahim, 2018).
Importance of emotional intelligence
This is the ability to perceive the emotions which is necessary to access and generate
emotions (Atak, 2016). It is important so that the thoughts are assisted in order to understand
the emotional knowledge which reflects emotions in order to promote the emotional as well
as the intellectual growth. The organization should be self-aware of the cohesion that occurs

in the team. Before reaching out to the team a person should be self-aware of his activities.
The next aspect of emotional aspect is self-management (Bozionelos & Singh, 2017). The
staffs of the organization must have the capacity to tackle the conflicts that might arise. It
involves the activity of strengthening the employees inside the organization. The other aspect
is the social awareness (Butler, Kwantes & Boglarsky, 2014). This is an important tool to
develop and show empathy. The final aspect of emotional intelligence is relationship
management. The organization have many departments. This enables the people of the
management to work in different departments and in different regions across the globe
(Stapley, 2018).
Importance of motivation
Motivation is the most important factor in any organization. The employees require
motivation in order to do their work smoothly. The motivation includes the reward system
like the intrinsic reward system and the extrinsic reward system. In order to achieve a high
position, the organization must offer bonus to their employees, they should be offered
promotion, they should be offered time-off so that they get interest in their works (Cameron
& Green, 2015). Apart from this the employees should be acclaimed for his task. The feelings
of competency is the best way to motivate the employees. The organization must understand
the needs of the employees. For example, there are many girls who are comfortable with the
night shift of service. The company must understand the problem of the employees (Hwang,
Lin & Shin, 2018). The management should focus on the human behavior and should spot the
behavior that influences the individuals and that motivates him to do the work (Malik et al.,
2015). In order to develop the organization it should form different strategies of motivation in
order to generate more revenue (Miao, Humphrey & Qian, 2016).

Nature of group behavior, cultural and generational differences
In order to reach to a great height of success, the company must work in groups and
must define the expected behavior in groups. The company can formulate strategies like
holding some amount of activities in the groups. This would include the competitions among
the teams so that the staffs knows the ways of working in a group and gets accustomed to the
ways of working in a team. The managers should formulate certain strategies that would
make every individual of the group to perform (Becton, Walker & Jones‐Farmer, 2014).
The organization is doing the business in the global context. This is the reason the
employees should be aware of the different cultures. Every individual should have the ability
to understand, appreciate and interact with the people belonging to different cultural
background. The company should organize some training workshops so that the employees
can be accustomed to work with all types of persons and under any situation (Lyons &
Kuron, 2014). There will be many situations when the employees will be transferred and they
will have to work in many countries. This is the reason they will have to work according to
the different cultures of different regions. The generational differences are another major
aspect of an organization. In any organization there are generation gaps in the thought
process of the employees. There are generational stereotypes that can hinder effectiveness.
The organization must prepare the employees to appreciate generational differences that
might turn out as a benefit for the organization. The employers can engage the different
generations to work together as a team. This would turn out to be an effective action towards
the development of the organization (Folger, Poole & Stutman, 2017).
Strategies to effectively interact with each other
There are certain strategies that should be followed in order to reach to a great height
till the year 2035. The company should follow the strategy of LEARN. The full form of this

is listen, effectively communicate, and respect differences and no judgment. It is important to
listen actively to the problems of the employees or the customers. The company must listen to
the quarries of the employees as well as the customers. The company must make the effort to
listen for meaning by checking back with the speaker in order to ensure that the things were
listened accurately. The staffs of the company are from different backgrounds. This is the
reason they convey the same thing in different language. The management should listen to
the problems of the employees and the staffs. The next strategy includes the strategy of
communicating in an effective manner. FCTG have huge number of employees ("An
Overview Of Our Philosophies”, 2018). They have more than eighty thousand employees.
They have more than 2800 business. They operate in more than 50 countries. The company
should circulate online feedback forms to the customers so that they can get effective
feedbacks from their customers. This might help them to develop their business. They must
conduct an induction of their employees and the employees should be encouraged to give
feedbacks. In case of any drawback the company should make efforts to rectify the
drawbacks. The other strategy would include the strategy to avoid ambiguity (Bryson, 2018).
The concept of work and the job roles should be clear. It is the responsibility of the
management to make the ambiguous matters clear. It is related to the job roles and the offers
that the company releases. The matters that are not clear and that leaves a confusion should
be made clear to the customers as well as to the staffs of the company. The other strategy
include the strategy of respecting the differences (Bryson, 2017). The company should listen
to the differences that sometimes occur in the organization and they must find ways to
resolve the differences. This would keep the internal environment of the organization healthy.
It is important for any organization to have a good internal environment. The final strategy
would include the strategy of not being judgmental. The management should not pass any

judgment towards any situation. They should understand all the conflicting situations and
should deal it in a rational way (Rahim, 2017).
Apart from this the company should improve their advertisement strategy. They
should adopt innovative advertising strategies like giving advertisements in newspapers,
hoardings and other mediums of social media. The other strategy that the company can adopt
is analyzing the marketing strategy of the competitors.
Conclusion
From the above study this can be concluded that the organization must be developed
in order to make remarkable achievements. The Flight Centre Travel Group intends to
achieve earn huge turn over, and name and fame in the world market. This is the reason they
operate in the global environment by using the global workforce. The essay suggests that the
company should use certain cross-cultural framework. It is important for the organization to
use the cultural competency to understand the different cultural backgrounds. The essay
suggests few strategies that the company should follow in order to achieve the top position by
the year 2035. The organization should align the different communication styles and
behaviors in different generation groups. The organization must from strategies to develop
the teams and their behaviors and for the effectiveness of the team the cultural as well as the
generational barriers needs to be overcome. By following these strategies the company can
head towards a smooth development of the organization.
