Suzanne Bristow – Hi, I am Suzanne Bristow an entrepreneur and I am running my organic

earth and today XYZ will going to interview me with several questions related to entrepreneur,
opportunity and innovation. As already discussed by XYZ that he/she in an student and want to

XYZ – Ok, lets start with first question how did you come up with idea of organic store and is
this your family business? I want to ask this question because your business idea is much
different from others.
Suzanne Bristow - Thank you! I basically establish this idea 20 year ago and started it from my
home with an organic box scheme. As my idea of organic fruits and vegetables was appreciated
by several people and like by them. Some of my customer encourage me to open my own store.
It that I earned enough amount of money with this business so I really think that organic box
scheme is really working and I can start my own store. Thus, I started my own shop by getting
encourage by the amount earned and customers appreciation as well as name of my store is
Down to earth. No, This is not my family business as it was establish by me only and I am
running it by myself.

XYZ – Good, from your overall story of starting business I really get motivate with your start up
story. So, let's move to next question what was your key driving force for becoming an
entrepreneur?
Suzanne Bristow – I am feeling much good that my start up story help me in motivating an
student. Yes sure we cant move to next question even I am much excited to answer your
question. Major key driver which force me to become an entrepreneur is that I want my name to
be establish within business environment by bringing some innovative idea. As well I am
inspired by my mother because she is much health conscious and prefer to use health products.
Along with this, now a days everyone is becoming more health conscious mainly youngster
which will result in increasing my sales and generating more revenue.
XYZ – One basic thing I want to ask is that what made you want to be an entrepreneur?
Suzanne Bristow – It is all in basically started within college where I studied business and
management course. Mainly I always want to run my own business and work for myself not for
anybody else. Reason behind this is that I like to interact with people as well as different
conversation everyday. With all such practices I learn new things as well as I find it my pleasure
to offer better customer services. Now what is your second question XYZ ?
XYZ – My next question is related to your goal in life ?
Suzanne Bristow – There are few goals in my life to be a successful entrepreneur within
business environment in organic product offerings. Along with this, to become famous and well
known.
XYZ – How do you pick out the perfect employees with perfect qualities Suzanne Bristow ?
Suzanne Bristow – Firstly I always take interview of my staff members to ensure that so that I
will identify that they will work with me in effective manner and help me in generating revenue.
Along with this, they have capability of talking with customers and serve them in effective
manner.
XYZ – Most important question i.e., How you come up with name of your company and from
where you find capital to start business?
Suzanne Bristow – I come up with name of company i.e., down towards earth because organic
products are chemical free and totally related with soil in which they grow. So, I decided to put
name of my company as down to earth and funds are important part without them it is not
possible to establish as well as run business. As I had already discussed that when I come with

organic box scheme from my home enough amount of money was earned by me which help me
in opening my own store. But at some level their was requirement of some more funds so for
down to earth, I generated remaining funds from shareholder because it is suitable and most
appropriate method of generating funds as well as no such risk is related to the same.
XYZ – What is Down to earth about and how you will market your business?
Suzanne Bristow – Down to Earth is medium scale organisation which offering organic fruits
and vegetables within Coventry, United Kingdom for satisfying need and want of customers
related to healthy products. As well as marketing is important for company because it will help
my organisation in getting popular. It is medium scale organisation and I don't have much funds
to invest within marketing process so I selected newspaper advertisement because everyone read
newspaper in a day. As well it will help me in publicity of my offerings within easy manner and
result in no such extra expenses.

you think about opportunity?
Suzanne Bristow – Honestly speaking, for me opportunity is to generate income as an
independent representatives of a organic product company. Along with this, through such
business idea I am getting successful in building my name within competitive business
environment is also opportunity for me. Because it is not easy to rise your name in such a
competitive environment thus it is opportunity for me.
XYZ – My next question is related to potential market size of your products ?
Suzanne Bristow – My organisation is mainly dealing in organic products i.e., fruits and
vegetables at medium scale. So, my products are covering 15% of potential market size. As I
want in future that my organic product will cover entire potential market size and build their
good name within organic product market.

XYZ – As we both known business environment is dynamic in nature and several things take
place within it. So, what are the major risk you facing?
Suzanne Bristow – Yes, your are right business environment is dynamic in nature and there are
numerous modification which take place and have wide impact on organisation working within
it. I am facing risk by the level of competition as number of organisation are entering within
same sector of organic products.
XYZ – As we both known at some level work result in overstress so how will be make sure that
you aren't overstressing yourself as well as your staff members ?
Suzanne Bristow – That's really tricky question, but I keep my every staff member equal within
working hours and when they are playing any job role. For not getting stress I give break to them
in between of work. So they will not get stress and feel tired as well as work will also conduct
within effective manner without any blunder mistakes.
XYZ – This is more interesting question that, Why people will purchase your products?
Suzanne Bristow – Yes, it is seriously interesting but I have answer related to this. Now a days
people are getting more health conscious and they all prefer such products which are chemical
free. As I am offering organic fruits and vegetables which are chemical free and don't give bad
impact on health. That's the main reason people will purchase my products.
XYZ – what are your expectations for business and where do you think your organisation is
headed in the next 5 years?
Suzanne Bristow – My expectation for business is to be most popular company within organic
products. In next 5 years I want Down to earth covering entire UK and famous among people.
XYZ – That's good, my next question is related to employees. How you will manage team and
what you do to face employees issues?
Suzanne Bristow - As we had already discussed that Down to earth is medium scale
organisation as there are not much number of teams. I focus on maintaining good communication
and most important is building relation within team members. So that each and every individual
feel like part of organisation which is important for their motivation. To be honest with you,
there are no such issues with my employee's as they do work in well manner and even I also
ensure that everything is going in right manner and there is no such issues.
XYZ – How many employees there are in your organisation ?

Suzanne Bristow – There are 17 employees which are currently working within Down to earth
as well as 9 people who are working for me only.
XYZ – I think this much staff member's are is okay for you and your medium scale organisation.
Suzanne Bristow – Yes, for now its is enough to have this much employees as an medium scale
organisation. But when I will expand my business in future and obviously I will have more but
now 17 are more than enough for conducting my daily basis activity.
XYZ – It is important for you to encourage your staff members so how you will do it?
Suzanne Bristow – Yes, it is important to encourage as well as motivate staff members so they
will conduct daily basis task in effective manner and result in increasing productivity as well as
revenue. I also encourage my personnel by giving them monetary and non-monetary rewards
such as holiday packages, incentives, bonus and many more. Along with this, I focus on creating
good working environment for make my worker feel relaxed as well I provide them bit extra
money if they are in need. Such all practices result in easy and smooth working of business as
well as in generating more revenue.
XYZ – Competition is increasing as you sad number of organisation are entering within same
sector. So who do you consider your top competitors and why?
Suzanne Bristow – Yes, you are right competition is increasing at its high level but there is no
such particular company which is affecting sales of my organisation. Every new entering have
their wide impact on Down to earth so I don't consider one particular company as my competitor.
XYZ – How you will be able to expand your organic product organisation for becoming more
successful?
Suzanne Bristow – As I have my plan to expand business may be within 2 to 3 years and I am
saving money for that. So that, I will cover entire United Kingdom and sell my organic fruits and
vegetables to everyone.
XYZ – Before entering within business environment did you analyse it ?
Suzanne Bristow – Yes, before entering I analyse business environment in proper manner so
that pros and corns related to the same will identified. Motive behind conducting this is that I can
use opportunities as an advantages as well as Threats like disadvantages and minimise it. Along
with this, such practices help me in identifying level of competition within respective sector of
business environment as well as nature, taste and preferences of customers. I analyse all these so

technology, environmental and legal all these factors are important as they play important role in
effective working of Down to earth. Apart from this, I implement Porter's five force model which
assist me in analysing level of competition within same organic product sector. Through both of
these framework I was able to understand each and every factor within more effective manner
and implement these within my working so that Down to earth sustain in environment for long
duration as well as generate high amount of revenue.

different culture which result in high chances of conflict. So, how you manage conflict situation
which occur within staff members ?
Suzanne Bristow – I am much honest with you while answering overall question same as in this
also. There is no such conflict within staff members. As I keep attention towards each and every
thing so that difficulties will not create within anything. As I focus on creating healthy
environment so there will be positive atmosphere and everything will run in better manner.
XYZ – The last thing for yourself, how you think you can encourage the entrepreneur to open
this kind of business.
Suzanne Bristow – Right to be honest you need to have good mind and you need to have skills
working with people because in this business you work with numerous people on daily basis.
Anling with this, firstly you have to speak with staff members and after that you have to speak
with customers as well as there is lot of eye contact and customer service need to be the first
priority, good manners, good vocabulary also. Most important is that individual have to know
how to deal with angry customers and have to ensure at the end of day that customers are happy
with services and offerings.

for effective working. So let's move to the last question of this interview session And it is related
to you, what is your greatest strength and weakness?
Suzanne Bristow – As an Entrepreneur I have several strength and weakness. My strength is
that, I never get afraid of taking chance or risk and always try to bring innovative things within
market area. Along with these strength, I have some weakness also such as bad time
management as well as administration skills which create difficulties for me while conducting
some activities. But I am giving my best efforts to overcome with these weakness and do work in
effective manner.
