P a g e | 2INTRODUCTIONPurposeThis report is prepared to find out the reasons of the rise of unhealthy eating habits ofVietnamese teenagers. This report will not only show how this problem appears, it will alsopropose the ways to avoid unhealthy eating habits.BackgroundAs a research, Junk food is more popular with the young generation nowadays and the ratehas reached to 45% in Viet Nam. The teenagers often choose it to be daily food because ofits attraction but they don’t think about the consequences such as Obesity which is typicaland nearly 25% were infected in HCM City, 20% in Ha Noi Capital [ CITATION Tra17 \l 1033 ].On the other hand, teenagers are using the alcohol drink including beer and wine and usingdope and this reality is extremely developing and becoming addiction to the younggeneration.Method of investigationA survey of Da Nang Health Research Institute with 100 students displays that 80 studentsprefer to eat fast food to home-made food and they have signs of using stimulants and onlyabout 20 students have a healthy lifestyle.ScopeBesides these figures above, we have a solution to the problem. We should spreadawareness about the consequences of it, and the fat students should be given educationabout the importance of a healthy eating habits. Therefore, it will helps improving thequality of their life.
P a g e | 3DEFINITION OF UNHEALTHY EATING HABITUnhealthy eating is defined as any eating habit that does not fulfill the requirements of thebody. It can be interpreted in both ways as a deficient diet or as an excessive diet[CITATIONHop18 \l 1033 ]. It means that you do not need to know a logical eating regulation, you just eatwhatever and whenever you want and do not think about the consequences.This is the common eating way that many people fall into a daily routine that can includeskipping breakfast, wolfing down an unhealthy lunch, grabbing soda, chips, candy, donuts orcoffee all day and gorging in the evening [ CITATION Nes18 \l 1033 ].In addition, it can be knownthat people are extremely depended on junk food and drinks which have stimulant or harmfulsubstances in, such as soft drink, alcohol drink and coffee.There are 2 types of unhealthy eating habit [CITATION Hop18 \l 1033 ]:First is the kind of people who eat to involve insufficient nutrition.oThis is the kind of people who are underweight because of their diet ratherthan because of metabolism or other factors.Second is the people who just want to eat too much food.oSuch people are also likely to eat what is termed as junk food because oftheir eating demand. Junk food is usually prepared rapidly and has plenty ofbulk but not much in the way of nutrition. Furthermore, Junk food alsocontains a lot of fat and is generally avoidable.
