PART 1: Literature Analysis
1.1. FACTORS AFFECTING ENVIRONMENTALLY RESPONSIVE CONSUMPTION BEHAVIOR
IN INDIA: AN EMPIRICAL STUDY
1.1.1. Methods of data collection and analysis:
Followed by a thorough analysis of the research paper of THE AUTHOR it is
identified that the primary objective of this research is to determine the factors that
is influencing the behavior people towards green consumption. In order to discuss
this concern it is identified that the researcher gas effectively gathered detail
information about the nominated topic. Considering this aspect while analyzing the
data collection method and data analysis it is identified that the researcher has
opted for online questioner which was sent via email to the students from India’s
top most institutes. Then the collected data has been analyzed using SPSS AMOS
24.
As per the topic of the research the purpose of this research is to determine
the factors that is influencing the tendency of millennial across India, thus it can be
stated that the sample size of the survey is not appropriate as it has consist of
students. In order to enhance the appropriateness of the result of this research it
can be stated that the researcher could have expanded the sample size which could
have enhances the accuracy of the research result. While considering the sample
size of this research it is observed that the number of participants selected in this
process is appropriate for the research as this will create diversity in collected data
which will improve the validity of the research findings.
1.1.2. Contribution to existing body of literature:
After a thorough investigation of the selected research paper it has been
observed that the researcher has significantly explained all of the possible aspects
that is related to this nominated topic. The researcher has effectively described all
of the concepts with theoretical framework in which it has clearly defined that the
nominated research topic is highly depended on several attributes which includes
the attitude of the consumer, social pressure, perception on an individual’s
behavior, practical implications as well as the purchase behavior. Along with this
discussion in the research paper there is a clear definition of the each variables that
is mentioned above and the hypothesis of the nominated topic has also been
developed. The hypothesis has stated that Green PI is positively related to the
attitude of the consumer, the social pressure is related to the Green PI.
While investigating the accuracy of these definitions and relations it is
identified that the research has gather all of these information from authorized
sources and implemented these knowledge in order to form the relation between
the variables identified in this research. Followed by these analysis it can be stated
that this paper consist of several informative contents that has increased the
reliability of this discussion. Considering this aspect a thorough investigation has
been conducted in the result part from where it is observed that the researcher has
structured the relationship table in such way that it has become very easy to find
out the factors which holds more influence on the consumption of green.

Followed by these identification it is observed from the result and discussion
that towards the behavior Indian customer for Green purchasing there is a huge
significance of the influence of family and friends whereas, on the consumer there is
no such influence of the social pressure. Furthermore, in this study there is a detail
elaboration of the hypothesis and it’s testing from which it is identified that the
result of this research is clearly developed from the gathered data and has
significantly proved all of the hypothesis statements. Followed by these elements
the researcher has also included several other points which has strengthen the
findings of the research.
1.1.3. Gaps and limitations:
Apart from the goodness of this research there are several limitations which
has been identified from a detail analysis of the research. After completion of the
research it is identified that however, this study has effectively discussed about the
limitations of this research in which it has mentioned that one of the major
limitation of this research is caused by a less appropriate research data collection
method. As per the topic the primary objective of this research is to determine the
factors that is influencing the green consumption of Indian consumer thus, the
structure questionnaire based on the theoretical framework which has produced
very predictable results. Along with this the selection of sample size and the
targeted population is also one of the major drawbacks of this research as well as
the data collection due to cross sectional approach has increased the possibilities of
data causality. Apart from these identified limitation the researcher has also
neglected several influencing factors for the nominated topic.
After completion of these identifications it can be suggested to the
researcher that in future a research should be conducted with unstructured online
survey method by more accurate data will be gathered which will enhance the
reliability of the research findings.
1.2. GREEN PURCHASING BEHAVIOR: A CONCEPTUAL FRAMEWORK AND EMPIRICAL
INVESTIGATION OF INDIAN CONSUMERS
1.2.1. Methods of data collection and analysis:
Followed by a thorough analysis on the selected research paper it is identified
that the primary objective of this paper is to investigate the green purchasing
behavior of the Indian consumer. Followed by this investigation it is identified that
with the purpose to effectively analyze the nominated topic the researcher has
opted for an structured questionnaire which was formed in such way that the stated
relationships related to this topic has been effectively covered. While analyzing the
structure of the questionnaire it is observed that it is divided into two parts which
includes the demographic contents and the other part includes the questions based
on the environmental impact of the identified variables in this study. Followed by
this identification it is noticed that in this research the researcher has targeted
people above 18 years and who are educated as well. And the collected data has
been analyzed based on the specific measurable scales.

After completion of investigation on the data collection and analysis process
of this research it is observed that the researcher could have selected some other
data collection process like online survey as this could have improved the speed of
the project. Along with this aspect it is identified that the procedure of data analysis
as well as the selection of sample size is not appropriate in this research.
1.2.2. Contribution to existing body of literature:
Followed by a thorough analysis of the nominated research paper it is
determined that the primary objective behind this research is to investigate
relationship between the influencing factors of that has effectively influenced the
consumers opinions on purchasing greens. While analyzing this concern in detail it
is observed that the researcher has effectively analyzed the key attributes related
to this aspect. Making allowance to this concern it is determined that the identified
attributes includes the green purchase intention, attitude towards green purchase,
environmental concern as well as the perceived consumers effectiveness which are
directly related to the practice of green consumption.
Along with these identifications the researcher has effectively analyzed the
definition of the identified attributes in the research in which it is stated that the
attribute green purchase behavior represents the behavior of people towards
purchasing green in order to avoid the harmful products which may badly impact
the lifestyle of people. After completion of these discussion it has developed
hypothesis in which it is stated that green purchase behavior has a positive impact
on the green consumption, attitude of consumer towards buying green products has
also a positive impact on the green consumption as well as it is mentioned that
environmental concerns are also highly related to the consumption of green.
Followed by these identification it is noticed that the researcher has found out the
results with the help of statistical data analysis, exploratory factor analysis, and
structural model as well as by using the measurement models which has helped to
gain a detail knowledge on the collected data and according to the findings of the
research it is observed that there researcher has proved all of the research
hypothesis and it is also identified that AGC and GPI are the most influencing factors
that has impacted the consumer behavior towards purchasing green.
Thus, after completion of this research paper it can be stated that the
researcher has primarily focused on the influencing factors as well as explained the
impact of these factor from which it has been identified that significant growth of
green purchasing is highly depended on the external influencing factors as well as
other significant factors which is described in the research paper.
1.2.3. Gaps and limitations:
After completion of this research it has been identified that along with the
success factors present in this paper there are several other research limitation
which has majorly impacted the research findings. Making allowance to this concern
it is observed that although this paper has been conducted based in the theoretical
findings but due to this several limitations has arrived which includes the selection
of geographic area. As in this research India has been selected as the country which
is includes vast area but the researcher has only focused on the population of Utter
Pradesh, this impacted the reliability of the results. Along with these findings it is

observed that the sample size selected in this research paper was not appropriate
which has also increased the level of drawbacks in this case. After from the above
limitations it is also identified that the data collection and analysis method was not
appropriate for the selected topic. The research could have opted for online survey
and they could have analyzed the data with different approaches.
Thus, after completion of this analysis it can be stated that the researcher
has tried to put every aspect in this paper however, due to some basic faults the
reliability of the result is not high. Hence, it is recommended to the focus on the
limitations and try to mitigate these limitations in future research.
