INTRODUCTION
People management is basically the set of the practices which encompasses the end to end
processes of the talent acquisition, talent optimisation as well as the talent retention which will
provide the consistent support for the business as well as the guidance to the employees of the
organisation. The EasyJet is a low cost airline in the UK and it is the subsidiary of EasyJet plc.
The company was found in the year 2017and was develop by following the referendum vote of
the UK in order to leave the European union along with the preparation of the airline against the
potential results of Brexit. The airline also structured itself as the group of pan European airline
along with three varied certificates of the air operator that are based in Switzerland, Austria and
the United Kingdom. This portfolio will discuss about the people management and its
importance along with the related SWOT analysis. It will also discuss about the leadership and
management, training and development, talent management along with their importance in the
company (Denning, 2018).

increase their productivity along with optimising their talent. People management is the sub
category of the human resource management which involves the training and development,
compensation and benefits, organisation, safety and wellness, engagement and retention,
performance management as well as the recruitment. People management also acknowledges the
unique talents, needs as well as the career objectives of the employees at the time of also
encouraging their alignment with the values and goals of the company.
Importance of people management
In precise, the business leaders should take in account the skills of the people management in
their companies as they have the right to make or break the organisation. If the management of
the people is bad then it can lead to low productivity, the employees will not be involved along
with the decreased innovation in the company. The possible effects of the people management
skills involve increased productivity, enhanced communication, employee being challenged and

candidate matches with the activities which will be executed along with the values and the
mission of the company. This can outcome in the employees to become unmotivated and also
creating the costs with a latest hire. The process of people management also assists in the
enhanced motivation along with productivity and helps in benefiting the management, enhances
the environment at work, helps in the development of the employee, attracts and retention of the
