INTRODUCTION
Performance Improvement and Management in Health and Social Care refers to the
various types of methods and techniques which can be used by the organizations in order to be
able to ensure that they are able to attain optimum level of performance which will help in
attainment of the overall goals and objectives in the short-term, medium-term and long-term
(Abou-Nassar and et.al., 2020). Thus it is quite crucial for the managers to assess the overall
position of the organization in order to take useful decisions for the future in the right manner.
This report will focus on BME Luxury Care Home. The organization provides a range of
healthcare facilities to its different patients. It is planning to expand to different locations in
London. In this assignment, a detailed focus will be put on the use of strategic planning models,
usefulness of Du Pont Analysis, Calculation and Interpretation of ratios. Additionally, specific
analysis will be made on the use of non-financial and multidimensional models for the
assessment of the overall level of performance as a part of this project.

Task 1
SWOT analysis- It is a model which can be used for the purpose of carrying out a
thorough assessment of the internal strategic position of the organization (Almaaitah and et.al.,
2020). Therefore, it becomes quite necessary that the use of this model can be made so that the
attainment of the goals and objectives can be done quite effectively and efficiently in a proper
manner in the future. For an organization like BME Luxury Care Home the use of this model can
be helpful in ensuring that it is able to carry out a thorough analysis of the various types of
strategic requirements in the right manner. The application of this model can be done as follows-

Disadvantages of SWOT analysis-
 The use of SWOT analysis leads to lack of clarity which therefore affects the Business
Organizations as they are not able to get a clear picture of the level of operations. This
can therefore impact the Businesses.

PEST analysis-
The use of a PEST analysis is quite effective in ensuring that an overall analysis of the
various types of external factors which are creating an impact on the Business
Environment can be made effectively and efficiently in the right manner (Castro and
et.al., 2020). Therefore, for the organizations like BME Luxury Care Home it is quite
important that they make its use. The application of the model can be made in the
following manner-
