The persona in the song is a neighbor and a very close friend to the girl’s family (Moore,
2017). The persona was able to interact and observe the family both in the country side and in
the city. The neighbor was therefore able to see the change in the life of the girl (Moore, 2016).
The journey really shaped the behavior of the girl.
1st verse
The story of a girl, who lived with the parents and grandparents.
In a four room house that’s located in the countryside.
Life was comfortable; she was living in a big happy family.
While the grandpa liked gardening; the grandma dried grains and made good meals.
Grandpa taught her gardening every evening when she came from school.
She being naughty; she spent her evening on top on a mango tree.
New bedtime stories every night grandma seemed talented in this.
No day passed without a giggle on their faces.
Chorus
Value your people when you live with them.
