Motivating employees to reduce low staff morale
High labor turnover has been noticed at all levels of organization, to
overcome these problems some solutions are:
Travelodge wants their HR managers to understand what actually the
problems are, for making their employees satisfied and to reduce the count
of employees turnover within the organization. Demotivating employees
can bring their morale down, so try to motivate them as much as possible.
Do not forget that different people can may have distinct prospective on
every issues. Interpret everyone's interests and list the possible solutions for
their problems. Evaluate the issues thoroughly and find the options. Taking
interests in employee's problems can enhance their morale.
Communication can be done by assistant manager in variety of forms at
various levels.
Higher level: To communicate with senior level management, assistant
manager can make use of formal letter, emails or fax.
Middle level: Face to face communication or skype calls can be used, so that
problems can be explained to them accordingly.
Lower level: Interaction can be done by writing a memo to staff members.
Defining task to reduce excessive workload
In order to solve the problem of excessive workload, Travelodge
need to define the task which can be performed by each employee.
Discrimination in workplace based on color, race, religion, age, sex,
national origin, revenge or disability can effect in the morale of
employees. For reducing employee turnover, being an HR it's my
responsibility to be open and talk to them if they are facing such
discrimination at the workplace and find the best solutions because this is
a very serious issue for the employee as well as for the employers.
Employee's facing discrimination can file complaint against the person
who is discriminating. So it's the duty of HR to resolve the issue within
the organization and do justice with the employee who is getting
discriminated by taking appropriate disciplinary action.
Providing emotional support
Many employees are suffering from mental health issues like
anxiety or depression, which have minimum or maximum impact on their
productivity. The organisation should adjust with them and supports them
to fight this issue, because we all know that in such severe situations
individuals some times face challenges while working. HR must
communicate to their employees without being judgemental or making
any assumptions and try to understand the employee's conditions. All
these efforts will be resulting in reduction of employee turnover in the
organization.
Solution for customer care issue
Responding to feedback:
In order to solve the consumer care problem, Travelodge needs to lay keen emphasis
on the feedback provided by customers. This will help them in enhancing consumers
experience and will also lay a positive impact on there mind. Problems faced by
customer can also be solved by analyzing there needs and demands and providing
them quality products.

Enhancing job satisfaction
Organisation's who fails to improve the experience and job
satisfaction are losing their best employees and facing high labour
turnover.
Employees who are occupied in their work are having a higher
level of job satisfaction. Travelodge should try to make good
working and personal relationships among employees which will
reduce unhealthy competition among employee's.
Also, HR should motivate their employees in order to retain them
for maintaining their presence in the organisation.
