Demonstrate effective communication skills, applicable to academic and professional contexts
Personal Development plays a very important role and involves a lot of activities which helps in
developing a potential and person’s capabilities that helps in improving talents, employability,
even wealth and learning potential. Self development helps in making myself better and helps in
overcoming my bad habits and learning new skills. With the help of self development it helps me
in learning interesting and new skills. In the first week, i got to learn about various skills and also
helped me in developing my capabilities (Calvert, 2019). I got to learn about various skills which
involved SWOT analysis which helped me identifying my strengths and weakness that further
guided me in developing my skills. Swot analysis is basically a tool that involves strategic
management techniques and strategic planning which helped me in identifying my strengths,
weakness, opportunities and threats. In Addition to that it helped me in learning the skills related
to Referencing which helped me in completing my assignments. It helped me in understanding
the right way of doing referencing and helped me in considering the information related to author
name, title of the journal. Accessed day month year and title of the page (Partridge, 2021).
It further helped me in applying it in a effective manner in my assignments. Moreover
during my module, i got to learn deeply about the Ms Excel and its various tools and formulas
which helped me to have a effective knowledge regarding the software and which further helped
in completing my assignments in a effective and efficient manner. In addition to that during
learning i gained a lot of understanding and knowledge regarding the power point presentations
and how to make a better and good power point presentation which really helped me in
completing my assignments and creating a better image in the university. When it comes to skills
i acquired various research skills. These research skills helped in uplifting my ability to search,
evaluate, extract and organise and make use of the available data regarding a particular topic.
The research skills helped me in doing a critical analysis, investigation and intensive search
while solving questions in my learning. In addition to that personal development and self
development really helped me in becoming a better student and helped in analysing my strengths
and the specific areas where i was lacking. In the second week, with the help of digital literacy
and reading skills it helped me in how to use Microsoft edge, Excel and software such as one
