Report will mainly includeskills that will be needs for strategic managementthat will requireforachievingorganizationalvisionandstrategy.Differentfactorsthatwillhave contributed towards skills and knowledge and theories of leadership and management. It also includesleadershipskillsandknowledgethathelpsinachievingorganizationalstrategy. Furthermore, it will include factors that will have an impact on organisational vision and different approaches for developing vision. TASK 1 Knowledge that will be required for fulfilling strategic management needs Skills that is needed for becoming strategic management are as follows:- Delegating:-A strategic leader will be delegating as they are focused on vision and mission that will help in achieving objectives of Charles & Keith. It is the most important skill that will be possess by different strategic leaders for achieving growth in the company. Communication:-This is another skill that have to posses by leader in the company. It is important for leader to easily communicate with its subordinates that will facilitate in doing work effectively for the future. Problem Solver:-leader must be able to solve problem of its subordinates as it is important for solving problem of employees in Charles & Keith (Eva and et. al., 2018). This will help in strategic thinking that will be providingstrong and efficient way to deal with problems. Above skills help in achieving organizational vision and strategy that will be facilitating in the future. In Charles & Keith a leader must have knowledge regarding policies and procedures that will be adopted in company. A leader must have knowledge about company's operation that will be facilitating different perspective for achieving success in the future. This will help in gaining different perspective as leader must have both technical and non-technical knowledge for running its operation smoothly without any breakdown. 1
Factors that affect vision and strategy of organization other than skills Organizational structure is one factor that will be help in achieving organizational vision and strategy as if working environment of the company will be depend on the structure that will be followed by Charles & Keith. As if it will adopt flat organizational structure then every level of management will be interacting with each other easily that will create a good working environment. Another factor is organizational culture as there are different employees that are coming from different culture as it includes values, norms and beliefs that will be followed in the company. If both organizational structure and culture is good then it will help in achieving vision and strategic goal of Charles & Keith (Bolden, 2016). These factors also have negative impact on the company as if proper structure and culture is not being followed in the company that will affect its operation in the future. Risk is also the biggest factor that will create discrepancy in achieving organizational objectives for the future. There is always risk that will bear by a starter for gaining more profit and productivity. Without risk business cannot be run properly . Therefore, these factors will also help in achieving vision and strategy. Theories of leadership and management Hersey and Blanchard Theory This theory will be mainly emphasize on maturity level of its followers and also adopting situational style of leadership. This consist of four group of employees such as low maturity, low-medium, average maturity and high maturity that will help in determining maturity level of followers. Low maturity:-In these employees are not willing to perform good according to task ans in this telling leadership style is being followed. Low-medium maturity:-According to these employees are willing but they are not able to perform task. Selling leadership style will be followed by management under Charles & Keith. Average maturity:-Employees are capable but unwilling to do task that will enhance participating style of leadership (Bell and Harrison, 2018). High Maturity:-Employees are performing task that is being given to them and in this delegating style of leadership is followed.
