INTRODUCTION
Personal development plan is developed in order to determine overall performance of an
individual that include skills, behaviour and knowledge. It is developed by considering suitable
vision, plan and goals of an individual in order to enhance their particular skills and knowledge
(PLANNING, 2018). For this, development describes the permanent changes in the prominent
structure include the gestures, posture, brain, skills and consciousness. Development of
personality include many categories as it is an integrated approach of development plan and also
useful in creating map for the overall development as its categories include lines of intelligence,
skill development, lifestyle management, changes in behaviour and development of personality.
This report is based on the knowledge and understanding of individual as it divided into four
parts include identifying the career goals, current reality, options for progression and
identification of SMART steps.
MAIN BODY
Identifying three prominent career choices
Profession describes the set of practice and standard, ethics and behaviours of the
particular body that must be adhered to. By determining the prominent career goals and choice
there are three prominent choices is discussed that is marketing manager, Sales manager and Top
executives as all these job roles are concerned with managerial activities which is useful in
enhancing and developing managerial skills and enhancing career opportunities for individuals.
As marketing managers are related with marketing department and stay in touch with
current market trends to analyse how much trends are in demand regarding the development of
concerning products and services (Rubens and et. al., 2018). For this, marketing manager use
prominent data by using market research survey in order to predict the purchase of commodity.
Moreover, sales manager are those individuals who develop goals and strategies to meet
their objectives and targets and it is developed to sell prominent products and services. In
addition to this, these individuals are the one who resolve complaints of customer and also
satisfy them regarding their overall requirements (Day-Calder, 2017). For this, they hire and train
their sales executives and also help them to perform their goals at full potential. These
professionals overlook whole budget, develop quotas, appoint sales, represent many territories,
determine sales data and predict sales profit and volumes.

Lastly, top executives are relies under the top level management and also give orders to
other individuals in order to perform their job in specific period of time. Moreover, these
professionals also make sure that they personally oversee whole work in order to make sure that
company attain its goals and objectives in prominent manner.
By determining the prominent career goals considering suitable skills and knowledge,
marketing manager is considered as the most effective job profile in order to develop and
enhance career which is useful in achieving success and growth in the development of career and
attain growth in future.
Identify and explain strengths and weakness by using personal SWOT
By determining the overall success and growth in the job profile of marketing manager
various skills are required such as communication, decision making skills, managerial
knowledge, negotiation and team working skills. These are skills are observed and determined
on the basis of other individuals opinions and feedback (Mazzotti and et. al., 2018). For this, my
personal skills are identified with the help of SWOT analysis as this tool is useful in taking
prominent decision and useful in reviewing and determining the prominent plans and policies
that is developed of the job profile of marketing manager as it helps in supporting and guiding
the individuals to develop business documents, reports based on prominent research, that is
discussed as underneath:
Strengths: It describes the positive factors that are useful for the job profile of marketing
manager and also describes the good skills in me to as my strengths in bid to motivate
and encourage individuals regarding their overall performance. For this, my strengths
help me in developing connection with other individuals and employees as it impacts
their skills (Jefferies, 2018). In relation with this, my strengths include communication
skills and managerial knowledge as it helps me in developing coordination and
cooperation with employees and also maintain balance between them.
Weaknesses: It describes those skills in which I am weak as these skills put bad impact
on my career development and enhancement. Because of this, it becomes quite difficult
to coordinate with other individuals. I as a marketing manager, quite weak in
transparency, decision making skills and moderate in negotiation skills.
Opportunities: It depicts the prominent behaviour and skills which can become
opportunity for me to develop and enhance my career in marketing field. In regard with

this, legislative knowledge and ethical knowledge becomes an opportunity for me to
develop as I can easily gain trust and faith of people. As these skills are useful for me to
retain best talent in order to improve the performance and productivity.
Threats: This component becomes barrier for me in order to develop my career in
marketing field which can become beneficial for my competitors as it become threat on
my skills that is faced by me and become hurdle in my overall development. By
considering my threats, as it include dynamic business environment, technological
changes that cause resistance of individuals and my competitors which depicts how to
survive in various situations according to the demand (Ashurst, 2017). As per this, I
should develop various skills and behaviour in order to transform it into my strengths.
Options for progression
By considering by weaknesses Performance development plan is developed for decision
making skills and transparency. As it describes those skills in which I am less competent and it is
very important to develop those skills in order to achieve success in my overall career. This plan
depicts suitable corrective actions that need to be taken to develop these skills in order to make
them strengths and opportunities in future (Bukharina, 2018).
