INTRODUCTION
Personal development planning is a significant aspect by which individuals can easily
improve their required skills, knowledge and abilities (Albion and et.al., 2015). It is a systematic
procedure of creating an action plan based on awareness, value and reflection, goal setting and
planning of personal development in context of a career education, relationship or for self-
improvement. In order to design a systematic personal development planning, individual are
needed to focus on action plan (Cropley, 2014). The current report provides detailed knowledge
and understanding about self-improvement plan that helps individuals in improving their
weaknesses, skills and abilities. The current report provides information regarding a systematic
personal and professional development plan. The main objective of this report is to understand
how an individual can improve skills, abilities and knowledge that will help them in improving
personality and professionalism in an effective and appropriate manner.
MAIN BODY
To become a successful entrepreneur, several kinds of skills, knowledge and abilities are
required in the individuals (Busse, Aboneh and Tefera, 2014). A successful businessman should
have effective knowledge about business, effective communication skill, impressive time
management skill, excellent knowledge to operate computer and equipment, etc. Being the MBA
student in a popular university of London, I have to learn various subjects related to
management, marketing, finance, human resources, etc. I am pursuing MBA last year in the
marketing. As this is my last year and after next few months my study will be accomplish. My
professional aim is to become successful marketing manager in the reputed organisation. To
accomplish this objective, I am required to analyse and assess my personality and knowledge
that will help me in improving my personality and professionalism.
In my university, management organises workshops and seminars regarding the subject
of students. Every month new seminar is organising by college so as student can learn new
knowledge, sill and idea regarding subject (Dowling, 2014). This session largely helps me in
improving my knowledge, abilities and skill regarding working. This supports me in improving
my current idea regarding marketing subject. In addition to this, there is also sufficient material
and sources to improve personality and knowledge of students. University always invites

company and other famous consultancy firms for student placement and job. Thus, I can say that
university helps me in a large manner to improve personality and professionalism (Fullan, 2014).
Being student in MBA in marketing, my aim is to become successful marketing manager
in the reputed corporation (Elliott and et.al., 2015). To address this objective, I needed to
analysed my existing knowledge, strength and improvement requirement for future. Following
are my SWOT analysis that provide knowledge about my existing level-
Strengths
I analysed that I have effective leadership skill
that will support me in lead and direct
subordinate at workplace in my professional
career.
I have also effective communication skill that
will support me in interacting with customers,
employees and to management in my
professional career.
Weaknesses
I have analysed that my major weakness is
poor technical skill through which basic work
related to study affected. I don't have
knowledge to operate computer and other
equipment.
poor time management skill I have through
which I am unable to handle the large numbers
of task and work in a single time.
I have ineffective knowledge about marketing
fundamental and concepts.
My another weakness is related to the poor
presentation skill through which I am unable to
give power point presentation in the college
Opportunities
My major opportunity is to attend national
seminar and workshop of personality
development.
I have opportunity to become successful
marketing manager in the reputed company
Threats
My major threat is to compete with other
students in the placement session.
Areas needed to develop
 I analysed that I have poor technical skill that are needed to develop. With the help of
effective technical skill, I can easily operate computer and other equipment for design my
MBA projects. This skill will also help me in my future as with the help of technical
