INTRODUCTION
Personal development basically involves the competencies and skills which are required for
the purpose to achieve growth in the market place. In order to make successfully career it is
very important to acquire and learn new skills that helps in contributing towards the
organisation’s performance in a effective and efficient way. In this context, a personal
development plan is prepared in a way which helps in ensuring future growth. The present
study involves opportunities and growth for the personal career development. It also
involves the professional skills and academic skills in order to achieve growth in the field of
management. Furthermore, it involves the various measures and personal development skills
which help in order to implement change in future scenario. In addition to that, it include
various through which i transfer my skills in the workplace.

development.
1.1 Recognition and expression on my approach to development and personal learning.
The personal learning and development involves the process of self-improvement that helps
in building up skills, awareness and knowledge as well as the overall sense of identity.
Personal development helps in developing competencies and skills for persuading growth in
the current job market area. For me to make a successful career, it is very important to learn
new skills that can help in contributing towards enhancing my performance. When it comes
to personal development, it is a lifelong process and it involves the qualities and skills in
order to achieve a certain objective or goal in order to maximise their potential. With the
help of personal development and learning it becomes easy to motivate and improve and
also helps in getting a clear idea of the vision and career growth (Little and Balsari‐Palsule,
2020).
1.2 Identification of the transferable skills I have already developed by attending this module
Professional Skills: It basically involves those skills that help an individual to grow in a
particular job or career. It involves the competencies and habits that majorly affect the

overall performance of an individual. Through proper professional skills it helps in making a
person more capable to grab more and more opportunities in the workplace( Hannover and
Zander, 2019). For me the professional skills are something which i have already developed
through attending this module. As the professional skills all together involves the time
management, communication and presentation and also help in making my own unique
individual identity in the organisation. Through these skills i can easily compete with the my
peers and also help me in performance appraisal. Through professional skills i will be able to
enhance my overall competencies as a professional (Chan, 2020).
Academic skills: These involves the skills that helped me to become a good student. These
academic skills basically involved the learning, project making, time management,
assignment, preparation etc. In order to attain a better grade, academic skills plays a very
important role. In order to score well in assignments and exams, it is very important to have
the necessary academic skills.
Through academic skills, it helped me in gaining learning opportunities that further helped
in doing well in my assignments and completing my course with good grades. With
academic skills i was able to become a good learner that helped in preparing well structured
assignments and systematic report. These academic skills helped in boosting my confidence
and also in getting prepare for my future career in an efficient manner. Through delivery of
presentations it will help me in dealing with the stage fear and creation of more and more
opportunities for future growth (Spaten, 2018).
1.3 Skills i need to develop during my workplace, my academic studies and the personal life.
I realised that I was lacking in various skills such as management, research, communication
etc. Here, in order to improve my skills various approach have be looked by me to get better
in the area I am deficient. Now, I have changes my approach through combination few
online sessions rather than real time learning. It also guides me in put away time of rootless.
Here, I can also give attention to my academics and while functioning on improving other
essential skill. In addition, it has been understand that I am extra liable in the direction of the
visuals. Hence, I consider to learn videos, graphics and visuals rather acquirement from
premise. It will save my overall efforts and time and will help me to better recognize the
idea in a better manner.(Numonjonov, 2020).

Time management : Time management skill is something i would like to build up during
my workplace, personal life and academic studies. (Olwig,2018). Through developing time
management skills i would easily able to prepare a suitable schedule that will help me to
complete my assignments on time in a effective and efficient manner. In addition to that
instance organization skill will also assist me to create a positive impact on my peers and
seniors at place of work. In order to develop these skill i will obtain online sessions and will
also join work shops related to time management which will involve guidance and
suggestions from well known people.
Communication skills : It involves the ability to communicate with other people in a
effective and efficient manner. These skills will help me to have a better interaction with
seniors, peers and other people. These skills will help in putting up a positive influence on
other through remarkable communication skills( Tawfik, 2019). In order to develop
communication skills, i will take the help of workshops and online sessions. In order to
communicate effectively, i will take the help of relevant content and videos which are
available on the online platforms.
Research skills: These skills will help me during preparation of my projects. Through
developing research skills, i will be able to prepare my assignments and well researched
projects in order to grow in my academics. In addition to that, in order to improve my
research skills i will obtain required reference from articles, journal and more. Furthermore,
i will connect online course where i will work upon my research skills (Manstetten, 2018).
