1.0 Self-reflection on personal learning and development,
and the transferable skills
Personal development is a lifelong learning activity. It is a act for people to evaluate their
talents and skills in order to set and achieve their goals by utilizing and increasing their
potential. It majorly contributes in success and satisfaction of an individual and self reflection
can enhance my social and improvement in my skills and leanings. After conducting self
reflection I can realise my capabilities which can assists me in developing myself into
accomplishing my academic as well as professional goals by learning and performing. After
practicing self reflection I feel more motivated and I can focus more on my leadership skills
and it helped me in becoming better learner as it allows me to be more focused on how can I
be good at learning and developing myself into it (Perry, Bridges and Burrow, 2021). Quality
and will of regular learning is the key for me to adapt more skills and improve myself in
order to achieve my goals and objectives. Moreover, it has helped me in building my self
confidence and motivated me which has enabled me in making better decisions and I have
stared getting positive results as I am able to do my complex task with confident which is
boosting my self esteem too.
1.1 Identification and reflection on my approach to personal
learning and development
In order to examine my internal skills by analyzing my strengths and weaknesses so that I can
use my strength and abilities in order to grow myself and grab every possible opportunities
which can enhance my skills but I need to improve my weaknesses and over come my threats
(Manoukian, 2021).
Below is SWOT analysis on me:

 I have a good command in my
communication skill, I can fluently
speak many different languages. It
assist me in expressing myself with
confidence it also helps me in
communicating with my peers, friends
and family with out any problem
which helps me in my over all career
 My information technology skill are
really very weak as it is very hard for
me to understand and adapt the
technologies. Due to this weakness I
am not able to cope up with my peers
who are good at it but for it is very
tough to understand and it can affect
my over all career growth.

It helps the organisation as everyone

 I lack in Time management skill as I
am not able to prioritise my work in
accordance to need of it. Because of
this it creates pressure on me as I am
not able to schedule my work
properly (Wallis, and van Noort,
2020).
Opportunities Threats
 I can develop my management skills
in order to support my career. I can to
full fill needs and expectations which
my company expects from me to
mange, so it can be my biggest
opportunity to grab.
 I can enhance my creative and
innovation skill to develop myself in
order to the need of my organisation
and peers, it will also help me in
making better decisions.
 As competition is increasing I should
learn more skills which are valuable
to my growth, which will help me in
staying ahead of my competition and
it can also help me in my personal
growth too.
 There are many skills required in HR,
so it is hard for me to adapt each and
every skills. So this can be a threat to
me.
1.2 Identification of the transferable skills I have already developed
by attending this module
After attending this module I have adapted many skill which are mentioned below:
 Communication Skills- After attending this module, I have learned communication
skills which can help me in interacting with my team and my seniors. It can also help
me in solving or negotiating conflicts between them. So this skill can help me in
achieving my career goals professionally. Moreover, I can interact with broad range

of companies and institutes easily with the help of this skill. Even good
communication skills can sort these interactions for me and it make sure that I am
capable to tell my point properly and calmly.
 Problem solving skills- I have develop this skill after attending the module, I have
already solved many complex problems which was given to me. It can help in solving
many issues related to my organisation and moreover It can help me in shaping my
career. In order to efficaciously handle and work in a successful firm, I should use
my problem solving skills by uncovering appropriate solutions of many issues which
can be sort by adapting this skill.
 Self confidence- I have gained a lot of confidence during my module as it will help
me in trusting myself in phase of my career and life . I know my strengths and
weakness very well so that's why I have optimistic view of myself. I set my goals and
requirements which are realistic, I can communicate without hesitation and I can
mange criticism very well. Self confidence is very important in life as it belied in
myself. This skill comes with feeling to achieve every goal set which enables me to
take bit risk and I can be fearless enough to work on something which is really big. It
makes us realise our full potential to work (Li, Wang, and Ye, 2021).
1.3 Skills I would like to develop during my academic studies,
personal life and the workplace
Skills I need to work that can be helpful in assisting the personal and professional growth:
 Information technology skill- I need to develop my information technology skills
as these skills are important for growth in m,any profession. Most organisations
requires at least basic understanding of IT to be successful in career. So This skill is
very necessary to adapt for better career opportunities. If I can learn this skill then it
will help me in doing all technical work by my own which is cost effective as I don't
have to hire someone else to do that for me. It can also help in making me feel more
confident in using upgrading technology and I can become more faster to finish my
tasks.

 Time Management- I have to develop my time management skills, which helps me
in planning and balancing my work priorities specific time. It assist me in overcoming
challenges and tight schedule by completing my task in given time frame. So,
managing my target and deadlines helps me in growing in my organisation. If I am
able to learn this skill then it will be very beneficial for me to maintain my work life
balance. With better work life routine I can be for efficient an effective at achieving
my goals. Time management essentially helps in achieving my goals in less time so
that I can have more time with my family (Kapur, 2019).
 Decision Making Skills- I should know how to make proper decisions which are in
favor of my career and organisational growth. If I develop this skills then it will help
me in making decisions in m every day for different operations which can help me in
developing personally and professionally. Thus, decision making act as an essential
part in everyone's life as it helps in focusing on concentrations and eliminating
destruction towards reaching the objectives in the career or in professional
organisation. The more data is understandable more easier making decisions will be.
