1.0 Self-reflection on personal learning and development,
and the transferable skills .
The personal learning is an educational approach, its main aim to provide the
ability to an individual about strength's, need, skills and interest to achieve success
and growth. It is really helpful for the students to get known about their personal
capabilities that, what they know and how they learn best. The personal
development means, to improve yourself, build up the personality, increase your
strength and maintain the wealth etc. Personal development encourage the
individual or a person to bring some positive changes in himself, so that he could be
able to improve his mistakes and feel comfortable in every situation. In personal
learning both, self development and the transferable skills are covered, which
analyze the individual about his growth. All these three quality approach is important
for me, it will help me in my academic as well as it gives me growth in my life.
1.1 Identification and reflection on my approach to personal
learning and development
The personal learning and the personal development is an approach for me to,
achieve success in my life. These two are the qualities for an individual, its depend
on the individual only that, at what level an individual is learning from himself and
after that what changes he may bring in himself. The personal learning, it name
suggest itself that, how the individual helps himself to learn something new. If you
want to achieve something good and respectable for that, an individual has to learn
skills and develop his personality through getting knowledge, improve the skills set
the goals and with the best ability achieve those goals. Its also helps me in my
business and management, managing the business is a big task but, I learned many
new things and also kept it in my skills and performance like, communication skills,
handle the critical situation, always ready to learn something new etc. These two
qualities approach of an individual helps me to improve my academic areas and also
give me the confidence to stand out in the competition.
1.2 Identification of the transferable skills I have already developed
by attending this module
The transferable skills are the abilities and the talents which an individual can use or
get learned from his job or the profession. Even as a student of business and
management I learned few skills from this module which is really helpful in my
academics. The skills which I learned are;
 Multitasking- This is the quality which I got learned in my academic
session. It is a quality which helps me to deal with the different situation
and mainly it helps me in my academic session to learn many subjects
and also it gave me the capability at the same time to completed my
projects and also I participated in the sports at the time of getting
knowledge of business and management. I got this skill to manage
many task together through this module.
 Leadership- as a student of business and management, for me it is
really necessary to grasp the opportunity to learn the qualities of
leadership. In my academic session only, I went through this skill. It is a

main quality in an individual to run the business and bring the
management in the future. Leadership quality brings many positive
changes in the individual, it changes the perception and also the
manner to deal with the problems and difficulties. Through this module
I got to developed this skill in me and I got to know about the
importance of the leadership skills and how I can apply this to manage
my business in the future.

1.3 Skills I would like to develop during my academic studies,
personal life and the workplace
There are many skills which I want to develop during my academic studies in the
personal life and also in the workplace. It will be started from the academic studies
where I learned few skills like, teamwork and communication. From my personal life
also I got the skill to manage the time and I really want to use these skills which I got
learned in my business and management. Some skills are;
 Teamwork- As a student of business and management it is really
beneficial for me to learn the value of teamwork. I identified that, the
business and management is not an activity which can be done or
perform by the individual only. In my academic studied also I studied
the importance of teamwork and through studies and also in my
personal life I got know the value of teamwork. It really helps, to
complete the task effectively and efficiently.
 Creativity- In each and every profession it is really helpful for an
individual to have something creative in the personality. The creativity
is developed in an individual at the time of academic only because, that
time the individual try to use many shortcuts and apply the mind to just
complete the given task. For me creativity is the key factor which helps
me in my further profession. It is one of the best skill in an individual
because, it helps the individual to brings out from any difficult situation.
